7:30 PM IST, 7:00 PM local time: The word is that it is currently raining in Peshawar. The weather has been such since last night. Hopefully, it will improve as the evening progresses. 

7:39 PM IST, 7:09 PM local time: The toss has officially been delayed due to rain. Stay tuned for further updates. 

8:25 PM IST, 7:55 PM local time: It is still raining. The covers are firmly in place. 

8:40 PM IST, 8:10 PM local time: The only thing that has changed since our last update is the intensity of the rain — it has gotten heavier. Alas, the gloomy picture of water droplets washing the white tarpaulin sheets covering the square is all we can paint in front you right now, for that is what the reality is. But with optimism in our hearts, we keep our fingers crossed. Hopefully, we will have some better news to give soon. 

9:20 PM IST, 8:50 PM local time: Nothing new to tell. The sky continues to leak. A lot of water has accumulated over the covers. It is hard to see any action happening any time soon. But we'll keep our eyes on ground zero and be the first to report if a miracle does happen. 

10:00 PM IST, 9:30 PM local time: Some senior players from Karachi Region Whites are standing around the trophy which has been put on a pedestal in the field. It is still raining. 

10:06 PM IST, 9:36 PM local time: Looks like they were just posing for some pictures. Now Fakhar Zaman, Khushdil Shah and Shadab Khan from Abbottabad Region have made their way near the pedestal. The photographers are busy capturing them and so are the men beside them in holding the umbrellas to protect the cameras from the rain.

10:47 PM IST, 10:17 PM local time: We are hearing that the PCB has earmarked tomorrow as a 'reserve day' for the final. So, if we do not have any play today, the match will get underway tomorrow if that is true. 

11:42 PM IST, 11:12 PM local time: The stadium lights have been turned off. 😵  That makes us assume that that is it for the day. We still do not have any official word about the 'reserve day'. We have been hearing that there is one. The fact that they have not declared the winners yet makes us believe that they are going to return tomorrow and have some play. However, as we mentioned, there is no official announcement regarding the same.
