6:21 AM IST, 5:51 PM Local Time: Texas Super Kings keep their unbeaten run at Oakland alive as they avenge their earlier defeat to MI New York with a six-wicket win. They chased down the target with an over to spare. It wasn't the easiest surface to bat on, but a composed knock from Saiteja Mukkamalla, backed by handy cameos from Donovan Ferreira and Wiaan Mulder, guided them home.
Earlier in the game, Faf du Plessis won the toss and invited MI New York to bat. The bowlers stepped up for the Yellow Army as Adam Milne and Hardus Viljoen managed to take three wickets inside the powerplay.
Sunny Patel and Corbin Bosch scored crucial runs to take MINY past the 100-run mark. They were 64 for 7 at one stage and looked like will fold under the three-figure mark. Trent Boult also chipped in with a cameo with the bat, scoring 18 off 12.
Three wickets were taken by Donovan Ferreira and Adam Milne got two. Rest all the TSK bowlers bagged one wicket each.

Nicholas Pooran (MI New York Captain): "[About 127] That was a bit under par on this surface. We were 10-15 runs short. Having said that, that partnership (Boult & Sunny Patel) gave us a chance, and that is the most important thing for us. The guys came out and bowled brilliantly. kept us in the game till obviously the last over of the game there. So, well done to the guys. Great effort. Obviously losing the toss this morning, coming from Dallas into these tricky conditions. But obviously, we have to set our plan now.
[About the conditions] It didn’t change too much. First half, obviously, a lot of clouds around. No sun this morning, so there’s a lot of moisture, and we're losing too many wickets in the power play. We felt like we could rotate the strike much; we can hit fours. We felt like we had to use our power base, and obviously, that didn’t work. But again, we’re really grateful that we got 127 and the bowlers gave us a chance. That shows the character of the team, and obviously, we fight till the end, and everybody knows what type of team we are.
[On their bowling] I felt like we bowled well. Obviously, we didn’t get wickets. Credit to their batters. They stuck it out as well. Riley and Milind are in that partnership. They didn’t allow us to get into the game by taking wickets. So well done to them. But again, at the end of the day, we did what we had to do when it comes to the bowling department, which is just try to stay disciplined and consistent as we can and again, who knows. In hindsight, if we scored 10 runs, we would have won this game."

Donovan Ferreira (POTM): "[How does he give equal time in practice for all facets of his game?] I mean, I haven't been practising much. When you get a chance, I bowl a lot in the game and bat in the nets, but don't do keeping much. I just back my hands when I am keeping. Catching in the warm-up and then try and go from there.
[Bowling plans against Pooran and Pollard] Obviously, the wicket assisted me a lot. It was spinning and stopping a lot. Against Nicholas Pooran, I was trying to bowl nice and straight to bring the stumps into play. And against Polly, I just tried to bowl it full and I was lucky that it spun a bit and he hit it straight down to long on's throat. That was good for me.
[On his kissing celebration to send off Pooran] If he scores a fifty, he celebrates that way. I thought I should return the favour when he got out earlier in the day. It is just part of the game.

At every ground, trying to understand what lengths to bowl and what method to bat. But, today it was nice knowing what we needed to chase. Definitely not a 180 wicket so that always helps.
[On having a different bowling group] Look, I think when you are looking at different venues throughout the country. Every one of them creates a unique opportunity and different ways of tactically going about it. This wicket last year, we felt spinners were not as much in the game. Obviously, today it turned but that's because it was a bit more tackier. That's why I felt early doors, throwing the ball to Donovan. It was a bit tacky, almost like a CPL 10 o'clock game, it will spin. I think it was the perfect wicket for him to come and bowl to those lefties.
[How close TSK are to that perfect batting performance and what they are missing?] Yeah, I think what's important is that you feel that you have guys who can contribute at different stages. You can't depend on one or two guys, if they get out the dressing room, they feel the negativity of it. I feel guys like Sai, 30 on this wicket is like a 50-60 on any other wicket. Milind's 20 was a composed knock. Confidence in the batting line-up is important.
[On his brilliant catch in the last game] Previous game, I was trying to take it easier. I was trying to find positions on the field where I normally field. I told the physio, if you are putting me on the park and there's a ball in the air, I am going to dive. I love catching the ball."
