Axar Patel (Delhi Capitals Captain): "[on the up & down season] We have lost crucial moments time and again. The team is good, we are playing good cricket but we lost a few games here and there. But it happens in a long tournament. Not everyday is the same. We want to perform this way in the rest of the tournament.

[on the important phase] I think we conceded plenty of runs in the powerplay but the way we came back was crucial. The way Mukesh and Madhav in his first game bowled in the middle overs was crucial. My partnership with David set the stage for the finish for Ashutosh and Madhav.

[on bowling just seamers] The way the wicket was playing and how Auqib delivered the 3rd over, I realized the ball is swinging and seaming as well. We just missed the lengths. Madhav produced the results as well, I had 5 pacers available so I went that way. There is always a back up plan. If Madhav went for some runs, I would have bowled a couple of overs.

[on his batting tonight] It just clicked tonight. I come at the crease with the same mindset. I got lucky tonight with a dropped catch and I just trusted the process I follow.

[on the future of the team] The way we are playing and the kind of bench strength we have. The future is bright. The way Sahil batted today, he has a bright future. As a captain you feel good to see so many youngsters doing well. DC can do anything."

Madhav Tiwari (POTM): "(How tough it is when you're not getting chances?) First of all, I would like to thank the management for giving me the chance. Lucky to be on the winning side. The mindset is always that if things are not in your hand, you work hard in the practice sessions. I worked on my bowling a lot and my range hitting alongside the batting coach.

(Is he more a bowler or a batter?) I would like to say I am 100% batter, 100% bowler.

(On his bowling) The wicket was helping the length ball. I was trying to stick to it and mix it with wider balls and shorter balls. I was prepared (to bowl 4 overs), given the conditions were supporting the fast bowlers. Axar told me had I gone for runs in my second over, he would have bowled. I bowled well and that worked out.

(On his batting) The batting coach Belly (Ian Bell) told me, 'You got power, you got everything, just hold your shape and watch the ball'."
Hanging by a thread they maybe, but Delhi Capitals' hopes are still alive. To prevent getting knocked out tonight, they had to register the highest successful run-chase in Dharamsala ever in the IPL... and they did! The road ahead is still tricky, but the good news is that Axar Patel is back in form. Also, in Madhav Tiwari they might have unearthed another gem.

Meanwhile, PBKS have now lost their 4th game in a row. But such good was their start to the season that they still remain in the top 4 on the points table. However, that could change soon.

Tomorrow, it will be a fight to get to the apex spot of the table. Pat Cummins will lead his troops in Ahmedabad against Gujarat Titans, who have been on a rampage lately. Will Shubman Gill and co. extend their winning streak? Or will Sunrisers Hyderabad paint the town orange? We will find out together. Remember, as always, our coverage begins exactly one hour before the start of the match, i.e. 6:30 PM IST, local time.

For now, this is Darpan Tikiya saying goodbye on the behalf of Akshay Bhide, Ninaad Dixit, Aman, Manish Bishnoi, AkshayaKrishna Polya and Paras Yadav. Keep following Crickxo for more cricketing action from around the globe. See you soon!
