The chase needed a couple of big partnerships, but it was always going to be tough against a quality bowling attack. The top order was taken out very quickly with some fine new ball bowling. Andre Fletcher (7), Johnson Charles (11) and Kyle Mayers (8) could simply not get going leaving the Patriots at 31/3. Nikhil Chaudhary pushed the ball around for a bit but was trapped in front soon by Vitel Lawes for 18 off 13. Dasun Shanaka (2) met a tragic end in his innings after he smashed into his partner in the middle of the pitch while running and was stranded. The Patriots were in a real soup at 64/5.
St Kitts & Nevis Patriots won the toss and elected to bowl first. Saurabh Netravalkar gave them the head start with a double wicket maiden. Further Wanindu Hasaranga struck twice to reduce the Kingsmen to 54-4. That is when a remarkable 99-run partnership between Keemo Paul (65 off 36) and Rovman Powell (49 off 39) led to an outstanding recovery. Andre Russell dealt a couple of blows at the back end and pushed the score 181/6 after 20 overs. The pick of the bowlers were Wanindu Hasaranga (2-36) and Saurabh Netravalkar (2-43).
9:23 AM IST, 10:53 PM Local Time: Jamaica Kingsmen win by 51 runs! This has been a superb bowling performance from the Jamaica Kingsmen. They were in trouble with the bat early on in their innings. However, after a remarkable recovery in that innings, they simply did not look back. They were all over the Patriots like a rash and eventually end up being 51 runs better.

Keemo Paul (POTM): "[What pleased him the most tonight?] I think lately I've been getting some runs for the team, you know. We were in a bit of a situation, and the coach gave me a role. He backed me. Also, you motivated me earlier, telling me I was going to have a big game, so thank you. But all in all, I was very pleased with my batting tonight.
[On the mindset while walking out to bat in a tough situation] Well, look, the coach has backed me. He told me that if we were in a situation in any game, I was going to bat early. And he backed me to play the reverse sweep. He said, with all confidence, go and do it if you have to. So that gave me the motivation to go and do it. And then Rovman also told me, "Just bat a few balls away." It wasn't too easy. I knew once I got to the 15-run mark, I knew I was in and I knew I was set.
[On his bowling plans] We just tried to hit the stumps as hard as possible and also use the wicket because the ball was gripping. Our slower balls were gripping, so we tried to use the wicket. And in the back end, our plan was just to go wide of the off side.
[Sign of things to come from Keemo Paul?] Yes, definitely. I want to contribute. I'm trying as hard as possible. I'm working very hard behind the scenes, so hopefully things click and I can continue being consistent.
[On the fan support] Fantastic. Extraordinary. The support every time a boundary is hit, every time we take a wicket; the noise, you know, it's electrifying. The people of Jamaica, thank you. It was wonderful, and I feel right at home."

Jason Holder (St Kitts & Nevis Patriots Captain): "[Reflection on this game] Yeah, we probably just could never get the momentum going. At the halfway stage, I feel they were on par. You know, with the heavy dew and their bowlers, I felt as though we should have gotten the runs. We just never had a really good start and then never had the momentum.
[Unable to chase because of lack of momentum with the bat?] Yeah, I think you are spot on there. I think, as I said before, at the halfway stage, I was pretty pleased with the bowling effort. You expect one or two balls to go to the boundary at the back end, but I think for the most part, the bowlers were spot on. I mean, our batting, we just never got off to a really good start, and we never had momentum going through the innings.
[On bowling Kyle Mayers last over] No, I didn't miscalculate, you know. I mean, we had overs from our spinners, but I felt at that stage with Russell and Rovman, they were probably better off hitting the spin. So I backed Kyle to come in and bowl that last over, and I thought he bowled a really good over.
[On how to get consistency in their game?] Yeah, well, we've got some games coming up. We've got our home leg coming up. We've got one game in another day or two. So, for us, it's just getting some consistent cricket, finalizing our combinations, understanding where we need to improve, and just keep improving."

Jamaica Kingsmen end their home leg with a win. This was very needed for the side as they had started the tournament with 3 losses. Now they have stitched two wins on the bounce and more importantly have leaped from the bottom of the table to second place.
