NAH won by 10 runs
11:29 PM IST and Local Time: Nagpur Heroz have put up a heroic effort and got to a thumping victory over the Orange Tigers by 10 runs. This game had multiple instances of momentum gaining, losing and making a comeback. But at the end of the day, Heroz have come out victorious.

Aman Mokhade and Parth Rekhade came out to open the innings for the Heroz after they were asked to bat first after losing the toss. Mokhade was the wrecker-in-chief in the powerplay and he tonked the bowlers for fun. He reached 70 inside the powerplay and eventually he scored 85 off 27 balls with 8 fours and as many sixes. Parth Rekhade struggled at the other end but he did well to accompany Mokhade. Heroz were 106/1 in 7.1 overs when Mokhade was dismissed. After that, the Orange Tigers bowled did brilliantly to curtail the run flow.

Heroz reached their first 100-run mark in just 40 balls but took 49 balls to convert it to 150 from 100. They lost 5 wickets in the space of 33 runs in this period. But Apoorv Wankhade and Kartik Rathod chipped in and they together stitched up 42 runs for the 6th wicket. Apoorv scored 28 off 15 balls hitting 3 sixes and Rathod got 37 beside his name with 2 fours and 2 sixes to help the Heroz reach 217/7 in their 20 overs.

Aditya Thakare, Shreyash Padole and Mandar Mahale took a couple of wickets each. Surprisingly after conceding just 7 from his 2 overs, skipper didn't turn to Mahale for another over.

When Dhruv Shorey and Mandar Mahale came to open the innings in pursuit of 218, Rajneesh Gurbani and Umesh Yadav troubled them. They used the conditions with the new ball very well and got Dhruv Shorey early. But Mandar Mahale and Rohit Binkar got a few runs. They saw off the first four overs and Binkar started playing his shots. He hit 3 fours and 2 sixes before his slog sweep found Iknoor Bhamra at deep midwicket for 30. Mandar Mahale and Kshitij Dahiya were dismissed in successive deliveries and that reduced the Tigers to 73/4. A lot of eyes were on Yash Rathod who scored only 16 and when he was dismissed, the asking rate was over 12.

Shreyash Padole and Akshay Karnewar however did not give up. Padole impressed with the bat also and hit 3 fours and 6 sixes to score 54 off 18 balls and Karnewar remained unbeaten on 41 off 19 balls hitting 5 sixes and a boundary. Vishesh Tiwari came in as an impact sub and got 17 off 12. The cumulative effort of the lower order batters was not enough as the Orange Tigers fell 10 runs short of the target and finished with 207/8.

For the Nagpur Heroz, Siddhant Muley was the pick of the bowlers picking up 3 wickets for 36 runs. Umesh Yadav and Tejas Soni picked up 2 wickets each and Parth Rekhade got the important wicket of Rohit Binkar.
Yash Rathod (Skipper of Orange Tigers): " (On overall game) I think we lacked in partnerships and I feel 219 was a chaseable score on this track and we did not put that many partnerships while batting.

(On the slow start) No, I feel the power play was well for us but we failed to build partnerships in the middle over and that is where we lost the game.

(On losing 2 in 2) I feel we need to bowl well in the power play and in the last 2 games, we have given away around 90 and that is not a good thing for us. Even in the last 2 overs, we gave away 20-30 runs, which is also not good for us.
Player of the Match: Aman Mokhade
Aman Mokhade (Player of the Match and Nagpur Heroz Captain): "Yes it feels good. Our first win. We worked hard for this win and it feels good to get the success.

(On his innings and his partnership with Parth Rekhade) I definitely it makes a difference if you get a big score in the powerplay. Here is no par score so it makes a big difference. Glad it worked out.

(On his responsibility to lead from the front) It is a huge thing. It feels good to fulfill the role given by your team. Other than that, I have been given a different role.

(On his spinners) On wickets like this, you have to go for wickets. I think that made a big difference. Their run rate was going well but those wickets brought us in the game.

(On Umesh Yadav) We depend a lot on him to get the wickets. He is bowling the crucial overs. He bowls the powerplay and the death overs. Special mentions to Tejas Soni also. Whenever I call him, he delivers. Umesh bhaiya also guides them a lot. Overall, it is a team effort."
What a sensational finish to a thrilling contest here at the VCA Stadium! The Nagpur Heroz hold their nerve to seal a dramatic 10-run victory over the Orange Tigers, successfully defending their total. The Tigers fought valiantly until the very last ball, but the Heroz' death bowling proved too precise, securing them two crucial points in this competitive Vidarbha T20 league. The action does not stop here. We will be right back with another exciting doubleheader tomorrow, 4th June 2026, bringing you more explosive hits and nail-biting finishes. That wraps up our coverage for tonight. This is Tarun signing off, alongside my co-commentator Saptak and our trusty scorer/analyst Ghanendra Singh Thakur.
