The game was scheduled to start at 7 PM IST but the persistent rain earlier made the ground delay and the game eventually started after a 1 hour and 45 minutes delay from the scheduled time. Shivamogga Yodhas won the toss and decided rightly to bowl first in a rain-curtailed 14-over per side game..
The Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters batters did not let the toss to affect the game. But the other opener Rohan Patil was joined by Krishnan Shrijith and they took the game forward by hitting some classy strokes. Shrijith and Rohan added 97 runs for the second wicket.
When the team score was 116/1 after the first 9.2 overs, one of the floodlights got off because of the malfunction of a generator. The game started after around half an hour and the game was further reduced to 10-over per side. Blasters eventually finished with 124 runs losing 1 wicket. Rohan Patil remained unbeaten on 51 from 23 balls with a boundary and five sixes. KL Shrijith remained unbeaten with just three runs short of his fifty.
