FOUR! Dubey finishes it off in style! Slower bouncer, outside the off stump, waits for it, and slashes it over the cover-point infield to score the winning boundary! Bengaluru win by 7 wickets! A calculated run chase by them.
BLB won by 7 wickets
6:24 PM IST and Local Time: Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters have defeated the Shivamogga Yodhas to start the Hubli leg of this tournament on a high. Blasters have won this match by 7 wickets and with an over to spare.

Winning the toss, Shivamogga Yodhas elected to bat first. Luvnith Sisodia started the day on a high as he found boundaries right from the start. His new opening partner MG Naveen failed with the bat but Aneesh KV gave him the company later. They added 48 runs for the second wicket when Sisodia was dismissed. But his 51-run knock kept the Yodhas ahead in the game.

After Smaran's wicket, Yodhas' momentum was halted as they lost Aneesh KV for 29. Harshil Dharmani and Yashovardhan Parantap became Rohan Raju's victim. But the skipper Smaran Ravichandran and Bheem Navale took the game deep and they found sporadic boundaries to take the team score to 173/6. Smaran remained unbeaten on 36 off 27 and Navale scored 19 off 12 balls.

Rohan Raju's spell was decisive in the first innings. He controlled the entire middle over phase and finished with 3/21 from his 4 overs. Shubhang Hegde, Samit Dravid and Praveen Dubey picked up a wicket each.

Coming to chase the 174-run target, it was not at all easy for the Bengaluru Blasters' openers. But Bhuvan Raju and Rohan Patil made sure they got off to a good start, registering a 65-run opening stand. Raju scored 29 off 23 balls before finding Tushar Singh off MG Naveen and KL Shrijith joined Rohan Patil. Shrijith did not have his best day with the bat but Rohan Patil kept the scoreboard going.

Rohan scored 30 off 24 in the second wicket partnership with Shrijith and was dismissed by Shreesha Achar for 62 off 46 balls hitting 6 fours and 2 sixes. Shrijith was cleaned up by Yashovardhan Parantap on 21 off 18. At the end of the 16th over, Blasters needed 44 and Praveen Dubey stepped up. He took 16 runs from that over. The 18th over yielded the Blasters 14 and Dubey finished it off in the 19th over. He hit MG Naveen for a six and a boundary to kill the run chase with an over to spare.

For the Yodhas, MG Naveen, Yashovardhan Parantap and Shreesha Achar picked up a wicket each.
Luvnith Sisodia (Shivamogga Yodhas): "(On the match) Things went fine, we batted well, but Cricket is a game where small errors matter. The catch cost us, and it is tough to recover from an error like that.

(On his half-century) It does not matter if the team lost after I scored a 50.

(On his injury and if it will be fine) It's the life of a wicket-keeper.

(Will it be difficult to bounce back?) It's not going to be hard; it's just 1 loss, and with 6 teams in the tournament, it's easy to get back in the top 4 with a couple of wins. We just have to work hard and come back stronger.

(On Hubli) It's a nice city and I have scored a few runs here. Lovely memories."
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony..

Shubhang Hegde (Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters Captain): "(Any hiccup on the way?) Not really. It was one of our calm games.

(Was bowling first alright?) Yes. I think the team that plays a better brand of cricket wins and that was the case today.

(Thoughts on the team's bowling) They were 90-odd in the 11th over and restricting them to 173 was good. Bowlers did a very good job.

(On the batters) Praveen has been doing it for us since game one and I hope he continues to do it. We saw Rohan Patil to score 65 (62) and hope he makes it bigger

(On the momentum) Yes the matches are coming quickly. We need to come and play our best cricket."
