CKM won by 3 wickets
6 PM IST, Local Time: Coastal Kings Mangaluru have registered an emphatic victory. Credit goes to none other but Siddharth Akhil, who has played a scintillating knock of 104* off 51 balls. The side has registered a win by three wickets in the final over. Mangaluru have registered their fourth win of the season and are in contention to qualify for the playoffs. Meanwhile, Hubli Tigers end their Maharaja T20 Trophy 2026 campaign by recording their sixth defeat.

Hubli Tigers were sent in to bat first and they posted a massive total of 213/6 with Mohammed Taha smashing a brilliant century.

In reply, Coastal Kings Mangaluru's chase got off to a shaky start as Aadhaarsh SJ departed for just one before Nikin Jose briefly injected momentum with a blazing 27 off 13 deliveries, smashing three sixes.

However, Hubli struck repeatedly, removing Jose, skipper Karun Nair (11), Prajwal Pavan (0), Shreyas Gopal (10), Suraj Ahuja (2) to leave Coastal Kings wobbling at 149/7. Prithviraj Shekawat and Siddharth Akhil had a good 58-run stand for the seventh wicket but then Prithviraj got dismissed for 18 and Mangaluru were struggling at 149/7 at the end of the 14th over.

Amid the collapse, Siddharth Akhil stood tall with a breathtaking innings that kept the required rate firmly under control. The right-hander hammered four fours and 10 towering sixes in his unbeaten 104, striking at over 200.

He found excellent support from Dheeraj J Gowda, whose unbeaten 30 off just 15 balls, featuring two fours and two sixes, ensured there were no further hiccups as the pair stitched together an unbroken 66-run match-winning stand for the eighth wicket to take Coastal Kings over the line in the final over

For Hubli Tigers, Shikhar Shetty and Aditya Goyal claimed three wickets apiece, while LR Kumar picked up one scalp. Despite reducing Coastal Kings to 91/6 inside ten overs and later 149/7, the bowlers had no answer to Siddharth's relentless hitting in the death overs, as the Kings completed one of the tournament's finest run chases.
Aneeshwar Gautam (Hubli Tigers Captain): "(On retiring out Hardik Raj) In the hindsight, we thought a lot of things about whom we can brought in. In that situation, we thought getting Manvanth and Abhinav in was a good idea. No regrets.

(In the death overs, it could have been 230) We were expecting anything in the range of 230 or 235. But obviously I think they bowled well and we lost a few wickets and that pulled us back.

(On the bowling) I think the lengths were an issue. We went a lot fuller. We said that hitting the right lengths was a missing in yesterday's game and unfortunately it happened today.

(Is the team still alright in terms of morale?) I think the team environment has been superb. The support staff gave us everything but unfortunately we could not give them the results. Obviously grateful for their support."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Siddharth Akhil
Karun Nair (Coastal Kings Mangaluru Captain): "(On Akhil's knock) Yeah, absolutely. Huge congratulations to Siddarth. The way he batted was exceptional. He guided the team through a difficult situation, and to finish unbeaten on a hundred was amazing—not just for him personally, but for the team as well.

(Did you think to win after collapsing to 91/6) Well, anything is possible in this game, and we saw that today. We just needed one batter to stay there and score the bulk of the runs. I'm also really happy for Dheeraj. He came in, supported Siddarth well, and contributed some very valuable runs.

Looking back, they were probably on course for 250 or even 260 at one stage. To restrict them to 214 was a terrific effort from our bowlers. They came back brilliantly at the death after not getting off to the best start.

(Will you promote Akhil up in the order now?) I think No. 4 suits him really well. I don't think he needs to bat any higher than that. I just hope he continues batting the way he has—taking his time early in the innings, settling in, and then accelerating later on. We all know he's capable of scoring quickly once he's set. I'm really happy for him.

(On his in-laws at the stadium today) I've already said hello to them. I'm really happy they were here to watch the game. I hope they enjoyed it, and hopefully they'll have another enjoyable day at the ground when we play again the day after tomorrow."
Excellent run-chase from the Coastal Kings Mangaluru and a terrific unbeaten hundred from Siddharth Akhil to snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat. First, it was Mohammad Taha who struck a gritty century for Hubli Tigers. Then, when we thought we had seen it all, Akhil said, 'Hello, I'm still here,' and just lit up the Chinnaswamy with his sublime batting.

So, this was it from the first game of the day but don't go anywhere because we will be back with the Live Action with the second game of the day between Gulbarga Mystics and Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters. Until then, it's me, Abhishek Sharma, along with my co-commentators Mohammad Anab, Saptak Sanyal and our scorers, Paras Yadav and Manish Bishnoi, signing off. But the cricketing action in Crickxo continues!!!!
