K Rajkumar (Player of the Match): '[Was there pressure while walking out for the chase?] Pressure-wise there wasn't as everyone in the team was supporting me. Importantly, Suresh anna who I have played a lot of tournaments with. He told how to approach the chase, I followed that and did well.
[What are you learning in this team?] There are a lot of experienced players in this team. I am able to learn something daily during practice which is helpful in a lot of moments.
[How has your experience been playing with R Ashwin in your Division 2 team?] Not much, just to react ball-to-ball. Just played two matches with him which was itself a big experience for me."

[On the team talk at the halfway mark of the first innings] Just asked them to keep it simple. The wicket was slowing down a bit. In the first game, nearly 500 runs were scored. I anticipated the pitch would get slightly slower. So, we were just patient and bowled in the right areas.
[What was the reason to use seven bowlers?] We have more all-rounders in the lineup. We don't know who will suit the wicket better. So, we were trying different things in different situations."

What a day of action in the TNPL with plenty of runs and records being created. The first game of the day between VIDA Kovai Kings and Madurai Panthers, in particular, was exciting with almost 500 runs being scored while the Panthers registered the highest total and the highest successful chase in TNPL history at the same time.
Rest up for now but there is plenty of cricketing action coming up from around the world including another double-header in the TNPL. The home side, Dindigul Dragons will take on the Chepauk Super Gillies in the afternoon game while iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans will take on Nellai Royal Kings later on.
