FOURRR!! What a way to bring up the half century this time!! Length delivery as the bowler drags the length back and towards the leg peg region. Smriti goes back and pulls this along the ground behind the square leg region for a boundary. The fielder there chased it and seemed to have injured herself with a full fledged dive near the ropes.

Excellent innings from the southpaw and the scores are level.

SIXXXX!! Smriti finishes off in swag!! How sweet does it look- yeah the backlift of Smriti Mandana while she tonks this over the long off region. Fuller one near the off, turning a tad away, but guess what, Smriti once again walks down the strip and elevates this over the long off region for a maximum. Southern Brave makes it five in five, and sits at the top of the points table this time!! They are the first team to qualify for the playoffs in the ongoing Women's Hundred!!
SBW won by 10 wickets

Probuddha: So, that's it, Southern Brave makes it five on five and have crossed the line with 44 balls to spare.

Earlier in the evening, the Southern Brave won the toss and decided to field first. The bowlers of the Braves’ were on song from the very beginning of the innings and did not let the Trent batters settle down. The wickets kept falling at regular intervals and the batter failed to show any sort of resilience. Elyse Villani was the highest scorer of the team scoring 25 runs off 25 balls as Lauren emerged the pick of the Braves’ bowlers with 4 wickets for 10 runs of her 4 sets. The score by the Trent team was the lowest ever in the history of the Women’s Hundred.

In the chase Southern Braves' completely dominated the opposition bowling. Their star opening duo of Danielle Wyatt and Smriti Mandhana brought up the required total in just 56 balls. Mandhana scored a dashing 57 off just 31 balls while Wyatt played a second fiddle and scored 36 runs off 25 deliveries. With this convincing win, the Southern Braves' ensure their qualification to the next round irrespective of what happens further in the group stage.

Lauren Bell (Player of the match): "Yeah, much happy to get another win!! Yeah I think my game plan was to bowl in good length and bowl stump to stump!! Yeah, that's the plan to get at least two wickets in the powerplay and give my side a good start. Yeah, we assessed the conditions well and did well, that was the plan from our side."
Anya Shrubsole | Southern Brave Women Captain: "Yeah, happy for the win. Our bowlers were on song from the get-go. It was a collective performance from our bowling side and they showed the way. Once we restricted them to a low score, it was a mere easy chase.

Yeah, happy to win a toss in the fifth game. I guess it was because of Darren Sammy, who shook my hands before the toss is the luck charm (chuckles).

Danni Wyatt is a great fielder and you can put her wherever you want. She does it again and again. Yeah, Lauren and Amanda Jade-Wellington were on top of their game. It is not about the changes we make on the field. It is about the process we follow.

Yes, happy to get the points on the board. We have qualified but the job is not done yet. Will look forward to the upcoming matches."
