Tugral: Sam's sensational innings pulled the winning match out of the hands of Northern Superchargers and won the match by three wickets.
Oval Invincibles started in a cautious manner as they scored 23 for the loss of 3 wickets in the powerplay.
Oval Inviolable opener went to chase and lost his skipper wicket without opening an account in the first over. Shortly after Roy's dismissal, the second opener of the Oval was also dismissed cheaply and returned to the pavilion. Rossouw (9 off 8) showed some good shots but he could not take his innings too long and Bravo uprooted his wicket. Jordan and Sam took the responsibility of handling the innings on their shoulders. Both started scoring runs at a brisk rate and stitched a 67-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Due to these two batsmen, the Oval team was able to make a comeback in the game. Jordan was run out for 48 due to mixed communication. Sam Curran was entirely positioned on the pitch after handling the innings from one side. Sam Curran hit the first half-century of Hundred and that too became the victim of Bravo on 60 runs. But in the last Tom Curran (18* off 7) played an unbeaten cameo inning and the team won by 3 wickets.
From Northern Superchargers, Bravo was fantastic this evening as he scalped 2 wickets. Raine, Miles, Wiese, and Rashid grabbed a wicket each. Northern Superchargers will be more disappointed with their fielding as they dropped a lot of catches on the field which is a big reason for their defeat.
