India won the toss and decide to bowl, which was seen going in his favor throughout the match. When India’s opener came out to chase a modest target of 109. Kishan (26 off 11) started raining fire as he came, he did not hesitate to send every poor ball out of bounds. After that dismissal, Yadav joined Hooda in the middle, Yadav got out on the very first ball after being caught in the ball of Young and returned to the pavilion without opening an account. After that dismissal, Pandya joined Hooda in the middle, they both started with all guns blazing and scored at a blistering pace. Pandya fell short Josh Little as he got out after a quick-fire cameo (24 off 12). Together they put up an important partnership of 64 runs for the 3rd wicket and brought the match to a good turn. India never looked like in any sort of trouble in this chase. Hardik Pandya, India Winning Captain: "Fantastic win. Great to start with a win. Great to get a win and for our group, it was important to get the win today. Umran has been fantastic with the old ball and that's why I started. But Ireland played well and we had to alter the plans. I think Harry Tector played well. He is 22 and he played beautifully. I was having a word with him and I wish him the best for his future. We have areas to improve and hopefully, we do that more and get better weather on Tuesday. It's cold out here."
