23.48 IST: Pakistan have done it, they pulled off a narrow 6 runs victory in another nail-biter contest of the series and they will go into the sixth game with the lead of 3-2 which means England have to win both the remaining matches if they want to win the series here in Pakistan. What a win for Pakistan, their bowlers again stood tall for them but on the other hand, England have only themselves to blame for. Pakistan have defended their lowest total on their home soil.
Pakistan had made under par score of 145 courtesy of the gutsy 63 runs ( off 47 balls) from the wicketkeeper-batter Rizwan. In reply, Pakistan bowlers gave them a sensational start Alex Hales (1), Philip Salt (3) and Ben Duckett (10) were dismissed in the first five overs of England's innings. Harry Brook (4) too didn't last long. Dawid Malan looked good for his 36 runs (off 35 balls) before getting trapped by Iftikhar Ahmed. Sam Curran (17) played some gorgeous shots but in the process of lifting the tempo, the allrounder also threw his wicket. Skipper Moeen Ali took the chase on his chin and was single-handedly attacking England's bowler. His valiant knock (51*) kept the visitors in the chase till the end.
England needed 15 runs in the last over to seal this contest. Moeen denied a couple of singles in the last over and backed himself to hit big, in fact, the left-hander hit a six too in the first four balls of the over, but on the second last ball of the over, he had to run a single and David Willey needed a six off the last ball to tie the contest but unfortunately for the visitors, he managed only a single.

Mohammad Rizwan (Player of the Match): "There is swelling in addition to the bruise, but the doctor said he will apply ice to it, and with any luck, the swelling will go down in the morning [on the knock]. The pitch was difficult and two-paced, but thankfully the goal we set was sufficient. On this pitch, it was a respectable score; given the start we had, we might have reached 160. But the credit for the way they bowled should go to our bowlers."
Moeen Ali (England Skipper): "Excellent game, yet disappointing. That is not who we are as a team. Due to their effective bowling spinners, we had trouble in the middle. We needed to persevere and play aggressively in the dying stages because we knew the bowlers would find it difficult to control the dew and overnight rain. He's incredible. He bowled quickly on an incredibly slow surface. He is enormous for our group. In the two games he has played for us [on Wood], he has been fantastic and grabs the key wickets."
Babar Azam (Pakistan Skipper): "Shadab's return and fresh start were encouraging, especially following an injury. The pitch was two-paced and Rizwan played effectively because of the way he built the innings. Aamer Jamal had a lot of self-assurance and believed he might succeed in the final attempt. You need wickets to win T20Is, and Shadab delivered those in the middle overs. These things bolster our confidence and strengthen the squad."
