Steven Smith (Australia Captain): "Yes certainly it was. We weren't expecting this at Wankhede. We were expecting pretty big score. India bowled well this morning. We probably left a few out there. But credit to India - KL and Jaddu's partnership was brilliant when they were 83-5.
Mitch I thought played really well. He started nicely, through the middle we lost more wickets. We couldn't get the partnership. We were one partnership away from getting there which KL and Jaddu showed.
I don't think it was a great wicket. But probably 260-270 could have been a good score. It was swinging in for the first few overs. Starc was brilliant. A partnership was needed from our end. Had we got that we could've got to a good total. No, happy. Thank you."

Hardik Pandya (India Captain): "Yeah, absolutely we were under pressure both while bowling and batting. We found ways to comeback into the game. Once we got the momentum, we did well to finish it off. I am really proud of the team, which created many opportunities and to take them with both hands on the field was grateful to see. You know that catch from Jadeja off Labuschagne was electrifying. See Jaddu (Jadeja) is making a comeback in the ODI set-up after 8 months. We wanted somebody to stick around KL (Rahul) and Jaddu did exactly the same to stay there and finish the job for us. Haha, I was enjoying my own game."

Ravindra Jadeja (Player of the Match): "Yeah, I am playing ODI cricket after eight months. I was looking to adapt as long as possible. With the ball also I got a few wickets. I was looking to build a partnership with KL. It was important at that point in time.
Yeah, I think we have been bowling Test cricket. We needed to alter your length and line, You need to mix up the angles and pace. I was bowling in good areas and getting some turns. I was telling myself to hit the good spots.
Yeah, I was looking to build the partnership. If we built a 70-80 runs partnership, it would happen. It wasn't easy to hit the big shots with the ball swinging. Every bowler was able to swing the ball. In between, me and KL were talking to each other that we need to go on and built the partnership."
