HUGE APPEAL! And the Superchargers have sent this upstairs! Length delivery, on the off stump, it's a googly as Benjamin goes for a cut but is instead caught on his pads! DRS coming up, and he survives!
The bowling side send it upstairs for caught behind.
11:46 PM IST, 7:16 PM Local Time: It has started to rain ☔ here at  Headingley, Leeds and the players are walking off the field. The hover cover is on. It has gotten heavier now, and more covers are coming on.
12:07 AM IST | 7:37 PM Local Time: It's still raining at the moment and puddles are clearly visible on the ground. The cut-off time for a 25-ball game is 9:08 PM Local (1:38 AM IST).
12:23 AM IST, 7:53 PM Local Time: The rain has stopped but the groundstaff need time to dry the field. The match officials are out in the middle assessing the conditions.  Hang on! Scrap the previous updates, the rain has returned. The live picture shows the players shaking hands, looks like the match has been abandoned.
12:28 AM IST, 7:58 PM Local Time: So, the rain has the final say here and unfortunately, the match at Headingley has been abandoned due to continuous rainfall, and both sides will share one point apiece.

Earlier, Northern Superchargers won the toss and invited Birmingham Phoenix to bat first. Phoenix lost Jacob Bethell for a duck in the first set of the innings. Will Smeed and Ben Duckett played with an aggressive approach in the powerplay and forged a 39 runs partnership for the second wicket before Smeed departed for 21 runs.

Duckett was playing cautiously and kept the scoreboard ticking for Phoenix but wickets kept tumbling from the other end. Phoenix were reeling at 84/5 after 62 balls and then the rain intervened, and the game has been abandoned due to persistent rainfall.

Matthew Short bagged a couple of wickets for Superchargers, while Reece Topley, Wayne Parnell, and Adil Rashid contributed one wicket.
That's all from our side as well. Thank you for staying with us for all the updates. For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Anirudh Modi, and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav.
