WFW won by 23 runs
9:54 PM IST, 5:24 PM Local Time: That's it. The Welsh Fire becomes the final team after Southern Brave and Northern Superchargers to qualify for the knockout stages of the Women's Hundred 2023 Competition. A solid performance sees them beat the London Spirit Women by 23 runs to book a place in the finals.

Chasing 162 was always going to be a tough task and the London Spirit Women lost two wickets inside the powerplay. Grace Harris along with her skipper Heather Knight tried to resurrect the innings but the former fell on 10. Knight was joined by Richa Ghosh and both stitched a very good partnership to keep their side in the hunt.

Both Knight and Ghosh put 68 between them before Ghosh fell on 34 while trying to up the ante. Knight also was cleaned up on 34 as the Fire Women bowled beautifully to close out the game. Grace Scrivens remained unbeaten on 22 but it wasn't enough for the Spirit Women as they ended their innings on 138/7 to lose the game by 23 runs. Shabnim Ismail and Sophia Dunkley picked up two wickets each for Fire Women as they defended the total successfully to qualify for the finals of the Women's Hundred 2023.

Earlier, the London Spirit Women won the toss and elected to bowl first. The decision backfired as the Welsh Fire Women got off to a sensational start. Skipper Tammy Beaumont and Sophia Dunkley went berserk at the top of the order as they put 53 at the end of the powerplay, the highest in the history of the competition. Both Beaumont and Dunkley put 75 between them before the former fell on 40.

Dunkley brought up her fifty in quick time and was joined by Hayley Matthews as both put a brilliant partnership for the third wicket. They put 78 between them off just 46 balls as it helped the Fire Women finish on a high. Dunkley departed on 68 and Matthews was run out on the last ball on 36 but not before taking their side to 161/4 at the end of their 100 balls. It proved to be too much for the Spirit Women as they suffered a heavy loss.
