After losing the toss, England Women were put to bat first in the innings. Tammy Beaumont and Maia Bouchier opened the innings for the home side. Both added 45 runs for the first wicket before Bouchier was dismissed for 17 of 24 balls. Beaumont was the next to get dismissed for 33 from 40 balls. Skipper Heather Knight added 29 runs from 49 balls and Nat Sciver-Brunt scored 31 from 34 balls before England were reduced to 118/4 in 25.5 overs. Alice Capsey and Amy Jones added 67 runs for the fifth wicket. Jones scored 37 from 38 balls and Capsey remained the top scorer of the innings with 44 runs from 65 balls. At the end, Charlie Dean added 20 runs and Sarah Glenn remained not out on 16* to help England post a total of 243/9 in 50 overs.
For Pakistan, skipper Nida Dar was the pick of the bowlers who ended with a figure of 56/3 in 10 overs. Nashra Sandhu, Umme Hani and Aliya Riaz picked two wickets each in the innings.
Chasing a target of 244, Pakistan were down to 37/1 in 7.3 overs. Sidra Ameen managed to score just 2 runs from 18 balls. Sadaf Shamas and Muneeba Ali showed some intent in the middle. Shamas scored 28 from 48 balls and Muneeba scored 34 from 60 balls before getting dismissed. Skipper Nida Dar scored 26 from 38 balls while Aliya Riaz managed to get 21 runs from 32 balls. Najiha Alvi remained not out on 26* from 57 balls. No other batter got a double digit score in the innings.
For England, Sophie Ecclestone was the pick of the bowlers who ended with a figure of 26/3 in 10 overs. Kate Cross, Lauren Bell and Charlie Dean managed to take two wickets each in the innings.
