20:29 PM IST and 04:59 PM local time | Chasing 129, Harare Hurricanes never looked in a good position as Bulawayo team dominated it out bravely. In the first over, Taskin Ahmed bowled brilliantly to dismiss Robin Uthappa and after that Tylmal Mills ensured that the chasing team go boundary less in the powerplay and two wickets down. Mohammed Nabi made a few strike after Eoin Morgan scored the first boundary but soon after making 22 runs of 14 balls, Nabi fell to Mills. After that no one looked handsome. Irfan Pathan came in the crease and hit some boundaries but Raza's brilliant bowling made him chop one back on to his stumps and go back to the pavilion after scoring 15. Later Luke Jongwe accelerated well for his 20 but no effort was enough for Harare to chase 129 runs down as they lost by 49 runs.
Earlier Sikandar Raza's brilliant batting prowess ensured the Bulawayo team to post a huge total of 128-9 at the end of the 10th over. It was Raza who scored a quickfire 30 ball 61 with the help of four boundaries and five sixes. Later coming to bowl, Raza bowled an overwhelming spell of 2-0-12-3 and took the all important wicket of Irfan Pathan.
It was the sensational captain's performance from Sikandar Raza which helped the Bulawayo team to start the tournament on a comprehensive winning note.
