The Hurricanes' ability to handle the pressure and secure the win in the super over showcased their mettle as a team.

Earlier in the game, Cape Town Samp Army won the toss and elected to bowl first.  The Harare Hurricanes faced a tough start as Sheldon Cottrell's brilliant bowling dismissed Robin Uthappa and Regis Chakabva in the opening over, followed by Evin Lewis in the 3rd over. Donovan Ferreira (87* off 33), however, emerged as a lone warrior for the team. He settled at the crease and then unleashed an onslaught of boundaries, showcasing his batting prowess.

Eoin Morgan (Harare Hurricanes Captain): "The match should not go down to the last over, but the wicket is quite slow, making it challenging to adopt an aggressive approach without losing wickets. On the other hand, the opposing team played exceptionally well as they are one of the top teams in this tournament. Sreesanth came in and bowled an excellent last over. It was a thrilling moment in today's match, and the momentum was strongly in favor. The match today was a fantastic display of skill and excitement."
