Chasing a target of 151 for the win, Welsh Fire lost their skipper Tammy Beaumont early. Sophie Dunkley scored 17 off 12 balls and looked good while she was there. But it was the Hayley Matthews show as she scored an unbeaten 78* off 46 balls and guided her side to the win. Bryce the keeper batter scored 21 off 18 balls. Jess Jonassen scored 14 off 10 balls but it was all about Hayley Matthews as she took her side over the line with ease.
Danielle Gibson picked up 2 wickets for 28 runs in 15 balls. A wicket apiece for Tara Norris and Sarah Glenn. But they did not have any answer to the brilliance of Hayley Matthews.
