They have outplayed their opponents in all facets of the game and apart from the toss, Spirit did not win anything today.  

Chasing 159 for the win, London Spirit kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and never got going. Meg Lanning looked good for her 23 off 18 balls. Skipper Heather Knight scored 29 off 20 balls. Danielle Gibson scored 13. Deepti Sharma remained unbeaten on 30* off 23 balls. Charlie Dean scored 13 as well off 12 balls. 9 extras given by the fielding side as Spirit ended with 127/7 in 100 balls. 

For Trent Rockets' bowlers point of view, it was all about the Aussie spinners. Ashleigh Gardner and Alana King finished with identical figures of 3/23 in 20 balls respectively. There was also one run out in the innings. 

Earlier in the game, Trent Rockets were asked to bat first by London Spirit Women. Both openers laid out a solid foundation. The duo put on 74 for the first wicket with Bryony Smith unfortunately run out on 34 off 22 balls. Grace Scrivens carried on and scored her maiden fifty in the Hundred as she scored 55 off 43 balls. Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt scored 21 off 12 balls. Heather Graham scored a quickfire unbeaten 22* off 12 balls. 11 extras given by the fielding side as Rockets ended with 158/5 in 100 balls. 

Deepti Sharma was pick of the bowlers for London Spirit with figures of 2/25 in 20 balls. A wicket also for Sarah Glenn as she finished with 1/28 in 20 balls. There were two run outs in the innings. 

So, a win for Trent Rockets Women over London Spirit Women by 31 runs as they climb upwards in the points table to move to 5th place and keeps their hopes alive in the competition. London Spirit Women stays in 4th place. Stay tuned for the presentations.

I just tried to take the pace off from the deliveries and that was the key as hitting big in this pitch against slow deliveries are not easy one. We also tried to hit the right areas."
