FOUR RUNS!! OVAL INVINCIBLES THRASH MANCHESTER ORIGINALS BY 9 WICKETS! A one-sided affair coming to an end, with the hosts cruising home with 43 balls to spare. Short ball angled into Cox's helmet. The Essex keeper-batter swivels and hooks it away. In the air but well away from the long leg fielder. One bounce and over the fence. A loud roar from Muyeye and Cox gets across to give him a big hug.

9:05 PM IST and 4:35 PM Local Time: Phew! This game has finished in the blink of an eye! Oval Invincibles' openers were really invincible today, and they made a mockery of Manchester Originals' bowling attack to hammer the visitors by 9 wickets and 43 balls to spare!

Chasing 129, Will Jacks and Tawanda Muyeye came out all guns blazing, striking boundaries for fun. Both struck half-centuries and clobbered the Originals bowlers all over the park like someone had opened the floodgates. There was no respect for the 43-year-old James Anderson. There was no trouble in reading Noor Ahmad's variations, and the rest of the bowlers just came in the hitting arc.

Jacks hit 61 off 26 balls, with 10 fours and 2 sixes, while Muyeye remained unbeaten on 59 off 28 balls, smashing 10 fours and 1 six. Lewis Gregory halted the fun by getting rid of Jacks and breaking the brutal 114-run opening partnership, but the game was all but over at that point. Jordan Cox came in at three and hit the winning runs as the Invincibles continue their winning run in the season.

Earlier in the game, Oval Invincibles won the toss and bowled first. Phil Salt (41 off 32) got off to a flyer, but saw Matthew Hurst and Jos Buttler departing for ducks in the same set bowled by Jason Behrendorff. Mark Chapman (28 off 19) came in and got a start, adding exactly 50 runs in the third-wicket partnership before Rashid Khan entered the fray.

Salt had no support after Chapman's departure, as Manchester lost wickets at regular intervals. Scott Currie (21* off 9) turned up with an important cameo down the order before the tourists were bundled out for 128 in exactly 100 balls.

Rashid Khan (3/19) was again the pick of the bowlers, derailing the Originals with his stunning spell. Sam Curran, who was excellent with his variations, Behrendorff and Saqib Mahmood bagged a couple of wickets, chipping in brilliantly to see Manchester's downfall.

A collecting bowling effort and a brutal ball striking from the openers give Oval Invincibles their second win in a row. On the other hand, Manchester Originals succumb to their second successive defeat.

Rashid Khan (Player of the match): "Feels great to get back to back man of the match awards. More than that, the win was more important, especially with the net run rate.

The line and length was important. In the IPL, I was missing the line and length but today the main idea was to hit the right lengths consistently.

Everyone is doing so well, in terms of taking responsibility. Hoping for it to continue.

It is a plus point for us for how the openers batted throughout the innings, they are bringing a great positive energy into the side. The moral is high and looking forward to play the next game."
