12:31 PM IST, 12:01 AM Local Time: A comfortable victory for Toronto Sixers Women as they thump Vancouver Thunderbirds Women by 7 wickets and 9 balls to spare. It was all about 'World Boss' Deandra Dottin, who was on a rampage, scoring 70 runs off just 27 balls.
Earlier, after being put in to bat by Deandra Dottin, the Vancouver Thunderbirds Women put up a competitive total of 97/3 in their 10 overs. Despite losing Vandana Mahajan for a duck early, Alisa Lister and Achini Perera steadied the innings with a brisk 54-run stand for the second wicket. Lister top-scored with 28 off 31 balls, while Perera remained unbeaten on 30 off 26. Skipper Amanda-Jade Wellington added late momentum with a quickfire 26 off just 11 deliveries, guiding her team past 90. For the Toronto Sixers Women, Saachi Dhadwal, Amarpal Kaur, and Krima Kapadia picked up a wicket apiece.

Deandra Dottin (POTM & Toronto Sixers Women): "Yeah, I mean, it’s very different. It’s the first time for the ladies here in Canada, and putting pictures was really brilliant. It’s just about assessing the conditions and figuring out how to adapt from there. The surface is a bit skiddy — not much turn — though a few bowlers managed to get some swing up front. Overall, it’s been pretty good.
I don’t think I’ve lost any form; it’s more about being a bit disappointed with the outcome in the Women’s CPL. But it’s always nice to play at a new venue, perform, and learn from other players. You get to meet different personalities, share experiences, and also give back in the process.
I’m really happy with the girls. They might not have the same level of international experience yet, but I’m more than willing to keep guiding them, helping them improve, and showing them the way forward. It’s a great platform — not just for them to grow, but for me as well. Learning from different people and understanding their personalities helps me grow as a person too, while allowing me to pass on my knowledge and experience."
