11:25 PM IST and 9:55 PM Local Time: Well, that has been some hammering from the Bulls to the Titans in this all-important Eliminator. The Bulls were just too much to handle for the Titans and the result showed the same.
Put into bat first, the Bulls were up to the task from ball one. Phil Salt (59), Tim David (40) and Romario Shepherd (32) were the main men in getting their team to the second highest total ever in the Abu Dhabi T10 league. Two batters batted with a strike rate of more than 300. What else do you expect then from the scoreboard!
In reply, the Titans started well with 68 on the board inside the first 5. Somewhere they were on par with the Bulls at that stage. However, the second half massive acceleration that the Bulls got was an insane one and emulating that would take a lot. In that attempt they collapsed and from 68/0 they crumbled to 86/4.
Alex Hales (35) and Aneurin Donald (37) were the only notable scores. Apart from that no one really took off. They eventually fell short by 47 runs. The pick of the bowlers by far from the Bulls was Junaid Siddique. 2-12 in his 2 overs. He single-handedly killed the chase.
Any other day the 115 posted by the Titans in the second would have been a good score. But today in front of the Bulls' 162, it looks very weak! The Bulls will now face the Quetta Qavalry in the Qualifier 2!
