Surrey won the toss, elected to bat first and posted 174/8 in their 20 overs. Skipper Sam Curran top scored with 38, Jordan Clark smashed 30 runs in the final over to remain unbeaten on 34 in 12 balls.

Toby Albert started the chase in attacking manner hitting 30 in 15 balls with 3 sixes. James Vince and Joe Weatherley fell quickly for low scores. Tom Prest hit 25 in 17 balls and was joined by Dawson at number 5 who smashed 4 fours and 4 sixes to remain unbeaten on 76 off 44 balls.
