1:48 AM IST, 9:18 PM Local Time | Glamorgan crosses the finish line comfortably, extending their winning streak in the tournament to 3! They defeat a tough Warwickshire side by 7 wickets to continue their good form.
Glamorgan won the toss and elected to bowl first! Warwickshire tried their best with the bat, and on the back of a crucial 86-run partnership between Sam Hain (63)* and Beau Webster (47), and with the help of Mousley's 27, they established a total of 184/4 after their 20 overs.
For Glamorgan, Crane, Neesham, Kellaway, and McAndrew picked up a wicket each to round up a good bowling effort.
Come the chase, the Glamorgan opening duo of William Smale and skipper Kiran Carlson came out all guns blazing to lead from the front with an astonishing and hard-hitting 75-run opening partnership to give their team a flying start!
However, Usman Tariq, against a hostile crowd, proved his mettle by removing Carlson (45) and Kellaway (0) in the space of 3 balls to put the pressure back on Glamorgan. Asa Tribe came out next, and along with William Smale steadied the ship and built a calculated 67-run partnership to break the back of this chase.
William Smale could not stay until the end as Gleeson bowled him out for 62 runs off 50 balls. It was too little, too late from Gleeson, as the damage had already been done, and the duo of Tribe (38)* and Glamorgan's in-form finisher Sean Dickson (24)* stood tall together to help their team chase down the total with an over to spare!
For Warwickshire, it was a dire bowling performance as only Usman Tariq (2/13) performed at his best, with Richard Gleeson getting a consolation wicket late in the innings.
Glamorgan continue to build on their recent performances in the tournament to record a strong victory against Warwickshire, who will go back to the drawing board and hope that this defeat is only a blip in their otherwise good season.
