AUS won by 31 runs

The Aussies have clinched the 2 match series with winning both games of the series defeating the West Indies by 31 runs in the 2nd T20 international at Brisbane. West Indies won the toss and elected to chase and got a good start with Australia losing Cameron Green early in the powerplay. David Warner (75) and Aaron Finch (15) then stuck a partnership adding 85 runs for the second wicket.

Some late order hitting from Tim David (42 off 20) ensured Australia got to a safer total at 178/7. Alzarri Joseph was the standout performer with the ball in hand for West Indies with figures of 3-21 in his four overs.
West Indies started poorly losing Mayers in the very first over but Johnson Charles (29) and Brandon King (23) added 50 for the second wicket giving some hopes to the Windies fans.

The Australian bowlers then put up a combined show to restrict the boundaries and also kept chipping in with wickets at regular intervals as a 30 run partnership between Rovman Powell and Akeal Hosein was the only other substantial stand for the West Indies team.

Mitchell Starc (4/20) in 4 overs produced his best bowling effort in T20 internationals. Pat Cummins picked up a couple of wickets with Cameron Green and Adam Zampa chipping in with a wicket each. Hazlewood was tremendous with the ball bowling an impeccable line and length restricting the scoring rate by conceding just 19 runs.

Stay tuned as we bring you the post match presentation.

Time for the post-match presentation ceremony.
David Warner, Player of the Match and Series: "Yes, it's a fantastic all-round performance. The bowlers bowled great and hit the hard lengths and we did it well. I thought I did well and then got a break and now looking forward to England in Perth and some boys won't. I think it's great batting with Cameron Green and he is quick off the blocks. He is fun to bat with."
Nicholas Pooran, West Indies Captain: "Its tough to lose it. Congratulations to Australia for the series win as well. Our bowlers were brilliant to restrict them for 178 and gave us momentum in the back end we just couldn't carry it forward with the bat in hand. We just want to get used to the conditions here and want to be ready for the World Cup qualifiers."
Aaron Finch, Australia Captain: "I think I am pleased with the win. The pitch was challenging and the way Davey and Tim David played was great. There was a method to the madness and we did that and were happy to win the series. I think looking forward to England. Some guys are already there and some will fly. They are a quality side and I feel it will be a nice preparation for us ahead of the World Cup coming up shortly."
Lot of positives for the Australian side as the emergence of Cameron Green at the top of the order, David Warner's form with the bat and the combined efforts of the bowling order have reaped them rewards just before the World Cup. West Indies at the other hand have their issues to solve and they don't have enough time as they need to play the qualifier stage of the marquee tournament.

So that's it from the second and final T20I between Australia and West Indies from Brisbane. Hope you enjoyed our coverage and the series.
