Update 10:30 AM IST: Nothing much to update from the Adelaide Oval. The rain continues to fall and the covers are firmly in place. The latest that we can resume is 15:53 Local Time which is 10:53 IST here in India. The chances of a resumption look bleak.
Update 10:35 AM IST: The rain has been relentless and the inevitable has happened. Match has been abandoned due to rain. Both teams will get a point each. Australia will have 3 points while England has opened their account. 3-1 in favor of the Aussies as we head to Sunday at the same venue.
So, the final confirmation has come in that the game has been CALLED OFF! As always, this will be frustrating for the players. England, in particular, will be devasted as they would have wanted to come back hard with a win in this fixture.
The game initially got reduced to 14 overs but rain interrupted once again after 4.1 overs. With the showers being quite heavy, the groundsmen decided it won't be possible to restart the game. Now, we move onto the third T20I which will be played out tomorrow!
