Nat Sciver-Brunt (England Women Captain): "I supposed, we didn't have enough runs on the board. Alana King bowled really well in the middle overs and restricted us. They made it very difficult for us to stitch a partnership together. Tammy played really well. With the lights turning on, the conditions did change a little bit. We bowled well in patches but the partnership between Ash & Annabel just took the game away from us.
I am very bad at numbers but I would've been very happy with a score around 280.
(How to tackle Alana King) I guess we should've been clear on what shots we wanted to play against her. Playing off the backfoot would've been more useful. We should've used our feet, played those little paddle shots as well. That's something I would be regretting on myself as well.
(On Tammy Beaumont) She has being battling really hard in the nets. She was a lot focused today and I am really pleased that she managed to post a good score today.
(On the partnership between Sutherland & Gardner) Um, we just couldn't control with the ball. I thought we built pressure in patches but the poor deliveries kept coming. We tried too many things I suppose. Sometimes you need to keep it simple.
We will review this game very carefully and make sure we do take the positives from this game and also the learnings as well. But coming up against a quality side, you need to be really good throughout the game but I think we weren't as good as Australia today.
(Can England beat Australia again?) Yeah definitely. Obviously we weren't at our best tonight. I don't think we have played our best cricket so far in the tournament. If we do see them again, we will be ready for it."

Yeah, I think we missed our lengths a bit early and got punished. So, certainly need to work to be better with the new ball. They probably got 20 a bit too many at the end. If you had told me 244 at the start, I would have been pretty stoked.
(On Annabel Sutherland) She is a gun, it is scary how young she still is. She is one of the hardest-working cricketers we have in our group.
