Tahlia McGrath (Australia Women Captain): "Oh, it’s great to watch. The Volley (Georgia Voll) hundred was definitely the highlight, but everyone in the top four played their part. It was really nice to just sit back and watch them put on a show.
Yeah, it's the confidence she exudes. I thought she played some beautiful drives down the ground early on and just looked completely at ease. It was hard to see how they were going to get her out. Maybe the only option was to push her back, but no, she batted really well.
Yeah, the intent was clear from the moment she (Perry) stepped onto the crease. There was some serious six-hitting in her innings as well. That’s exactly what we’re about—taking the game on and building a strong platform. Our top four executed that plan perfectly today.
Yeah, it’s definitely a challenge. Every time I think about making a bowling change, I’ve got seven options in mind. So, it’s tricky. Today, we went with short spells, chopping and changing, trying to extract as much as we could from the wicket. We had to keep our plans pretty straightforward. Hopefully, the WACA will offer a bit more bounce, which would be nice."
