Heaviest Defeat for Pakistan in WT20Is (By Runs):

114 vs England, Cape Town, 2024

113 vs Australia, Leeds, 2026, Today*

94 vs Australia, Sylhet, 2014
Most Run-Outs for Pakistan in an Innings in Women’s T20 WCs:

5 vs Sri Lanka, Basseterre, 2010

4 vs South Africa, Birmingham, 2026

3 vs Australia, Leeds, 2026, Today*
Stat: Australia used eight bowlers in a Women's T20 World Cup innings for only the second time. The previous instance also came earlier in the 2026 tournament, against Netherlands Women at Southampton.
Player of the Match: Ellyse Perry
Ellyse Perry (Player of the Match): "[Did she enjoy her knock?] Oh yeah. I enjoyed batting out there with Voll. It's a great place to play cricket.

[On her bowling tonight] I got a little bit lucky. But it was nice to consistently take wickets in that innings as a bowling group.

[What was the thought process while batting?] To be honest, it wasn't like too complicated. We felt it was a good place to bat. Just wanted to keep taking the game on. Powerplay is the best time to bat. Volly played really well.

[Did she have any score in mind while batting?] I guess you always kind of try and get the momentum going. We were going at 10 runs per over. We got challenged when we lost wickets. But we were happy keeping the rate up.

[What drives her to keep performing consistently?] I just enjoy the challenges that playing cricket throws at you. Especially with this group that trains hard. The game is fast these days and you have to keep working hard to keep up with it."
Fatima Sana (Pakistan Women Captain): "[Thoughts on the game tonight?] I think we just played poor cricket and we have to accept it. As a whole team, we have to accept it.

[On their preparation coming into this WC] I think I personally think that we played and we got a lot of practice in Pakistan. But we need response from the team. We had good practices.

[On the positives tonight] I think we got good in bowling. The way they started, we did well with the ball. Nashra and Sadia were awesome with the ball but we need more players to help them. We were struggling in these sides. We had good players who were performing but we need more players to help them."
Sophie Molineux (Australia Women Captain): "Yeah, it was good. There was a nice crowd here tonight. It was a beautiful night for cricket. Happy with the win.

(Is she enjoying captaincy?) Yeah, I am. It's been a challenge. It has looked very different for me over the last few months. I am so lucky that the staff and the players have been incredible support for me. I have enjoyed it thoroughly.

(How is she balancing everything as a captain) I think we have got plenty of options in the side.  We have enough depth in the side. We can look at conditions. We can look at oppositions. We can look at the best orders which we feel. It's a really good problem to have which is the depth.

(On the response from the batters after losing an early wicket) It was really pleasing to just keep pushing on. I think we had a massive powerplay. Pezz came in and was really attacking at the start and Volly has been hitting the ball beautifully. It's great. People are stepping up which is going to be key moving forward.

(Anything to improve?) I haven't really thought about it for now. We always review our games. We got things that we want to tick off even if we have got some strong wins this season. We haven't ticked everything off each game. We will have a bit of a review there and will try to get better."
Most Catches as Wicket-Keeper for Australia in an Innings in WT20Is:

3 – Jodie Fields vs New Zealand, Brisbane, 2009

3 – Jodie Fields vs India, Visakhapatnam, 2012

3 – Alyssa Healy vs England, North Sydney, 2017

3 – Beth Mooney vs Pakistan, Leeds, 2026, Today*
STAT ATTACK: Beth Mooney became the first Australian wicketkeeper to take three catches in a Women's T20 World Cup innings.
Four dominant victories from four matches for Australia in this World Cup and they now sit comfortably at the top of the points table with one foot firmly in the semi-finals. For Pakistan, however, it has been a campaign to forget so far. This latest result marks their fourth consecutive defeat, and they have struggled to build momentum at any stage of the tournament.
