Time for the Post Match Presentations-
Shan Masood (Pakistan Captain): "(Where did they lose the match?) A lot of mistakes from us. When you make 360+ runs in the fourth innings, you expect yourself to win. However, the fact is that we made many mistakes in the previous three innings.

(On Pakistan not holding advantage for long) When they were 116/6 in the first innings, I think we gave away too many runs to let them get to 278 runs. Even when we were 140-4 in the first innings, the batters need to take responsibility and score big. Unfortunately, we couldn't do either.

(On his patchy tenure as Captain) See, Test cricket is unforgiving. We need to be at our very best as a side. The best play against the best and any mistake is given a strict punishment. I can remember only 2 Tests under my captaincy where we were outplayed. In every other Test, we had a chance but with some mistakes in the three departments we let our advantage slip."
Most Valuable Player of the Match: Taijul Islam
Most Valuable Player of the Series: Najmul Hossain Shanto
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: LITTON DAS
Litton Das (Player of the Match): (On batting with the tail and the mindset behind his hundred) "To be honest, I hadn’t scored much in my previous two innings, so when I came in, I didn’t really have pressure about scoring big runs. But after a couple of wickets fell quickly, I became a little unsure about what approach to take. So I spoke to my captain, and he told me to keep attacking because the team needed runs. After that, I just backed my strengths. Once I hit a couple of boundaries, I reminded myself that this was still Test cricket and I needed to bat for long periods as well. I knew that if I could bat another 10-15 overs, it could completely change the game over the five days, especially with rain also being a possibility.

(On refusing singles while batting with the tail) It may have looked selfish from outside, but at the same time, if I had given them too many strike opportunities, I probably would not even have reached fifty. My focus was to face more deliveries myself and also protect the tailenders because when they are safe, I am safe too.

(On whether this was the best hundred of his career) Probably, yes. Batting with the tail is never easy because all the fielders are spread out, and you have to manage the strike carefully. Also, the Day 1 pitch was not that easy for batting, and the outfield was quite slow, so overall it was a very satisfying innings for me."
PLAYER OF THE SERIES: MUSHFIQUR RAHIM
Mushfiqur Rahim (POTS): "(Ramiz Raja called him a 16-year-old in awe with his fitness) 16 multiplied by 3(laughs).

(On the Test series win) Thank you very much Ramiz bhai. The boys thoroughly deserve it. They have played really well over the last few years and now we are getting our wins.

(On the importance of his knock) If you ask me honestly, I think Litton played really well. He set us up well for the match. So, we knew we had to pay respect to his hard work in the first innings. Also, we were sure that we had to set Pakistan a total above 450. It was not a typical Day 5 wicket so yeah.

(What motivates him to keep going) Honestly Ramiz Bhai, I am alive and I have the opportunity to play for my country. I very well know that it is not very easy and respect the opportunity I am getting. That is what keeps me going."
Apologies that we could not post Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto's quote because of a broadcast issue.
This series will be remembered for Bangladesh’s composure under pressure. Litton Das scored a breathtaking 126 in the first innings. Mushfiqur Rahim answered with a marathon 137 in the second. Taijul Islam dominated with spin when it mattered most. Pakistan had moments - Babar’s classy 68, Shan’s determined 71, Salman Agha’s all-round impact, Rizwan’s heroic 94. But Bangladesh consistently owned the key sessions. That was the difference. A 2-0 clean sweep against Pakistan in a Test series is no small achievement. Sylhet witnessed history. Bangladesh celebrated history. And Test cricket, once again, reminded everyone why five days are never too long.

And then came the moment. Najmul Hossain Shanto walked up to collect the trophy with the biggest smile in the stadium. Calm captaincy. Brave decisions. A series win that will stay in Bangladesh cricket folklore for years. As soon as he lifted the silverware, the entire Bangladesh squad rushed in behind the WINNER’S BOARD. Players. Support staff. Coaches. Smiles everywhere. Litton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim are soaking in the applause. Taijul Islam and Nahid Rana are grinning after their match-winning spells. Cameras flashed. Fans roared. And Shanto stood in the middle of it all, leading a team that outplayed Pakistan session after session. Bangladesh did not just win this series. They owned it. Completely.

Until then, I am Dev Rajawat, signing off, along with my co-commentator and statistician Manan Mehta, and scorer Bishal Mandal. That’s it from our side. Thanks for joining. But cricket doesn’t sleep. Plenty is happening around the world. Switch tabs, follow the fun. Goodbye from this tab! TAKE CARE! BREATHE AND SMILE! CIAO!!!!!
