After losing the toss and put into bat first, Jason Roy and Daniel Lawrence opened the innings for Colombo Jaguars. Roy lost his wicket in the very first ball of the innings. Lawrence could only score 5 from 6 balls. They were down to 28/5 in 3.5 overs. Kamindu Mendis made 17 from 10 balls. Najibullah Zadran scored 12 from 8 balls.
