Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Harare Hurricanes got off to a nightmare start as they lost a flurry of wickets at the beginning of the innings, which restricted them to scoring runs at a brisk pace and eventually, they were restricted to 82/8 at the end of 10 overs. Samit Patel was the lone warrior for Hurricanes as the right-hander remained unbeaten till the end and contributed 39 runs off 23 balls. Brad Evans shone with the ball for Qalandars, as the right-arm quick wreaked havoc with the ball and bagged 4 wickets for 16 runs in 2 overs.
In pursuit of Hurricanes' paltry 82 runs, Qalandars lost Tim Seifert and Andre Fletcher for a mere 4 and 1 runs, respectively. Hazratullah Zazai played a short cameo of 25 runs off 16 balls. Nick Welch and Asif Ali chipped in with 18 runs off 12 and 6 balls, respectively, and eventually, Azmatullah Omarzai finished the game with a maximum, helping his side advance into the grand Finale.
Coming to the bowling now, Hurricanes managed to extract wickets at regular intervals, but they failed to put a brake on the run and eventually failed to defend 82 runs. Luke Jongwe and Nandre Burger bagged a couple of wickets for the Hurricanes, while Mohammad Nabi and Tinotenda Maposa contributed one wicket.
