Ben Raine to Ross Whiteley
WICKET! Big full-toss on off from Raine, Whiteley wants to power it down the ground but he skies it straight up. Ollie Robinson calls for the catch and takes it calmly with his gloves. Not a great result for Derbyshire as they need 6 off the last ball!
Raine turns the match on its head! Whiteley takes a swing and it goes straight up. The keeper collects. 6 needed from the final ball to clinch it for Derbyshire.

DUR won by 5 runs
1:49 AM IST, 9:19 PM Local Time | Durham clinch a thriller! A fantastic game of cricket comes to an end as Durham win at home against Derbyshire by just 5 runs! Durham have done all they can, and now they wait to find out whether they make it to the Knockouts.

Durham won the toss and elected to bat first. Having lost Graham Clark early, it was Ben McKinney's counterattacking knock of 31 runs, and later a gem of an innings from Colin Ackermann, scoring an unbeaten 69 runs off 44 balls, that enabled Durham to score 165/7 at the end of their 20 overs.

For Derbyshire, Akif Javed was on fire with the ball as he picked up 3/30 from 4 overs. Nick Potts got a couple, with Muqeem and Montgomery securing a wicket each.

Come the chase, Derbyshire started with 2 boundaries off the first 3 balls, but Carse came out on top to dismiss skipper Donald in the first over. Naeem fell to Parkinson in the next over, and Derbyshire were in early trouble in the powerplay.

There began the gritty work from Derbyshire as Martin Andersson and Wayne Madsen stitched together a partnership of 71 runs for the 3rd wicket. However, Sowter and Carse combined to remove Madsen (26) and Andersson (44) to wrestle back control of the chase.

Montgomery followed with a cameo of 18 runs, Whiteley battled until the end with 22 runs, and Came's unbeaten 35 brought Derbyshire within 1 maximum of winning from the last ball, but it was too much to do in the end as Raine held his nerve to defend the total.

It was a scintillating bowling effort from Durham, led by Brydon Carse's 2/28. Parkinson, Potts, Raine, and Sowter picked up a wicket each to complete an all-round bowling performance.

In the end, Durham won a crucial encounter to stay alive in the tournament, and only time will tell if they can make it to the knockouts. On the other hand, Derbyshire's woeful season continues as they sit rock bottom of the points table. With the group stage in its final phase, the race for the knockout is heating up.
