10:20 PM IST and Local Time: Gulbarga Mystics end the Mysore leg of Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2026 on a high. They started the season with two defeats but bounced back with back to back victories. This result will give them some relief as the margin is massive. A victory with 40 balls remaining will give them a huge boost in the net run rate.

An abysmal batting performance from Hubli Tigers saw them end their first innings on 119. Hubli had a new skipper in Manvanth Kumar today and he elected batting first. The decision backfired as both the openers were dismissed cheaply. Mohammad Taha and Hardik Raj failed to capitalize and Mayank Agarwal had all the responsibilities on his shoulder. He looked good but he was dismissed for 16 off 13 and the Hubli Tigers were reduced to 36/3 in the powerplay. They lost Preetish Ingle and Shivkumar Rakshith cheaply afterwards.

Abhinav Manohar was playing sensibly rotating the strike and got a couple of boundaries but he tried to take on a short ball from Macneil Noronha and found the deep midwicket fielder. He scored 21 off 28. Manvanth played 14 balls to score 17. At the end of the 16th over, the Hubli Tigers were 89/9. But Shikhar Shetty was not willing to give up. He played a counterattacking knock of an unbeaten 27 from 17 balls. He hit two sixes and a four in the final over to take the score to 119.

Kranthi Kumar was the pick of the bowlers with his 3 wickets for 17 runs. Gautam Mishra, Ronit More, Paras Arya and Suhas Purushottam picked up a wicket each.

Sharath BR and Lochan Gowda came to open the batting in pursuit of 120-run target. Sharath played his shots right from the word go and hit 2 fours and a maximum in his 10-ball stay. But once again he departed playing a breezy cameo scoring 18. Lochan Gowda became Shikhar Shetty's victim for 9. Prakhar Chaturvedi was batting well and found two boundaries but Shikhar got the better of him on 11. Shikhar was the lone warrior for the Hubli Tigers today.

When the scoreboard read 49/3 for the Gulbarga Mystics, Macneil Noronha and Thippa Reddy stepped up. Their innings were not flawless but they made sure a partnership was brought on the board. They brought up a fifty-run stand in 44 balls and that is a testament to the cautious approach they employed. Macneil Noronha ended the game in style with back to back sixes in the 14th over and brought a comprehensive victory. Macneil Noronha remained unbeaten on 42 off 29 balls with 3 fours and as many sixes. Thippa Reddy partnered him with his unbeaten 34 from 24 balls hitting 4 boundaries.

Shikhar Shetty was the only one who bowled it tight and got the wickets. He finished with 2/26 in his four overs. Hardik Raj bowled well in his two overs and conceded just 6 runs. But the pacers had a bad day in the office. Vaibhav Sharma, Kumar LR and Manvanth Kumar together gave 72 runs away in their combined 7 overs and only Kumar LR picked up a wicket. Ronak Yelwal bowled just two balls and got smacked by Macneil for two sixes.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation.
Hardik Raj (Hubli Tigers): (On the team's batting performance) "Yeah, obviously we fell short with the bat today. We didn't have the right intent, and we'll definitely look to do better in the upcoming games. But I thought we gave it a good fight in the second innings.

(On Shikhar's performance) Yeah, he bowled really well. We had a discussion in the dressing room that we were going to go hard, and we gave it our best shot.

(On the batting order and team decisions) I think that's the coach's call, and we're all going to respect that. Whatever he decides, we're going to back it and follow the plan.

(On looking ahead to the next phase of the tournament in Hubli) We're definitely going to come back stronger in the next phase. It's going to be on our home ground, and we're really looking forward to it."
Time for the Post-Match Presentations....
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: KRANTHI KUMAR
Macneil Noronha (Gulbarga Mystics Captain): "(Everything went right for you) I mean you have to give a lot of credit to the boys. We say in meetings to bowl in purpose and they did it very well.

(What was the thing you told the bowlers in terms of purpose?) I feel we took a lot of time in between balls because we wanted everything to go right. I feel if we just worry about controllables and do our job properly, we will be able to produce these results more frequently.

(On Paras Arya's performance) Coming in to bowl and bowling to the batters who sweep the ball well, he did well in hitting the right lengths. He had the clarity to bowl in this wicket.

(On the upcoming Hubli leg) The mood is good. Now as the Mysore leg is over and we have to go Hubli. We will adapt and take the challenge as it comes."
Time for us to wrap up our coverage. With this game, the Mysore leg of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2026 has come to an end. We have seen 12 T20 matches being played here. Some were high scoring, some were low scoring but all the games were vastly competitive. In the final game in Mysore, Gulbarga Mystics completely obliterated the Hubli Tigers and secured a victory by 7 wickets and with 40 balls to go.

Now the caravan moves to Hubli. We have a breather tomorrow before the exciting T20 action resumes in the state of Karnataka on Saturday. In the first game Shivamogga Yodhas will lock horns with Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters. Then in the evening, we will see Gulbarga Mystics to play against the Mysore Warriors. Do join us for the live coverage of those games.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Dev Rajawat and the scorer/analyst of this match Ashok Dayma. Until then, it is good bye and good night.
