Rohit Sharma (India Captain): "Firstly, I want to appreciate everyone who came here and supported us. The crowd here has been magnificent. It is not our home crowd but they have turned it into our home ground with the support. To get that result was very satisfying.
No absolutely, not just this game. Right from the beginning. I thought our spinners in particular. There is just too much expectations. They never disappointed us. When you are playing on such pitches, we understand their strengths. We used that to our advantage. In terms of our bowling, we were very consistent.
Yeah, look. A very solid mind (on KL Rahul). Never gets overwhelmed by the pressure around him. This is why we wanted him in the middle phase. To try and finish the game for us. With his experience and class, the kind of shots he can play. He makes things easy for others.
Hardik came in and played those shots in both games, gave us a breather. Overall batsmanship shown by our batters was brilliant.
He (Varun Chakaravarthy) has got something different about him. When you are playing on such surfaces, you have to take him on and that's what makes him more lethal.
He played against NZ and picked up five wickets. We saw the kind of ability he has with the ball. He did not disappoint. Luckily, his ability came to use at various times.

The Indian players proudly don the iconic white blazers, upholding the prestigious Champions Trophy tradition. The jackets will be presented by the BCCI President, Roger Binny. Varun Chakaravarthy is the first one to get the blazer, following which come Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, KL Rahul, Harshit Rana, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav and the Indian skipper.
And here comes the moment of the night—Rohit Sharma walks up to the ICC Chairman, who hands over the glittering Champions Trophy to the Indian skipper. Plenty of celebrations, smiles, and hugs around the Indian camp. The white blazer is shining bright under Dubai's night sky. Emotional scenes with the Indian players soaking in the moment being around with their beloved ones. The families are here, the friends and the fans as well. Plenty of pictures are going to be in the frames. This is the 7th ICC title for India's Men's senior team. Rohit Sharma now has four ICC titles (2007 T20 WC, 2013 CT, 2024 T20 WC and 2025 CT), while Virat Kohli also has four ICC titles (2011 ODI WC, 2013 CT, 2024 T20 WC and 2025 CT).
Well, Mitchell Santner has led his troop really well in his maiden ICC tournament as New Zealand's leader. They didn't have Matt Henry's (Shoulder injury) experience with the ball, and also lost Kane Williamson's (Quad strain) presence on the field, but they gave their all till the very end. Nothing to show for Glenn Phillips' magic on the field. He literally made the world believe with the fact that the 'Kiwis' can fly!

The chase master Kohli showed his class again in the semis against the Aussies as India buried the ghosts of the 2023 WC Finals before the skipper Rohit came into the fore with a title-winning knock but not before a fight from the Kiwis.
So, India win consecutive ICC tournaments and this one without the G.O.A.T pacer Jasprit Bumrah. Unreal achievement! Next up is India's cricketing festival, IPL, starting on March 22. There are plenty of actions before IPL as well on our network. Stay tuned for all cricketing carnivals.
