IRE-W won by 7 wickets
11:32 PM IST, 7:02 PM IST | Ireland Women record a massive win over Pakistan Women to record the first win in the tri-series! They have defeated Pakistan Women by 8 wickets!

Pakistan Women won the toss and elected to bat first! On the back of Muneeba Ali's 65 off 41, and an 88-run partnership with Saira Jabeen (36), Pakistan Women were able to record a total of 176/6 at the end of their 20 overs.

Ava Canning was the pick of the bowlers for Ireland Women with 2/35 from her 4 overs.

Come the chase, the Irish Women came out with intent. It was Amy Hunter at the beginning who took the charge to the Pakistani attack, and kept scoring important runs to keep Ireland on pace with the total. She was eventually dismissed by Ayesha Zafar for 56 runs off 33 balls, and a 51-run partnership with Rebecca Stokell came to an end.

However, Orla Prendergast and Rebecca Stokell carried on the mantle from Hunter with a match-winning 77-run partnership for the 4th wicket. This partnership brought Ireland Women on the brink of victory, but Zafar once again got the better of Orla Prendergast (33 off 17). It was too little too late by then, as Rebecca Stokell stayed unbeaten at 60 runs off 42 balls to help her team cross the finish line.

For Pakistan Women, Ayesha Zafar picked up 2/24 from her 3 overs, but despite her best efforts, the Irish batting lineup was too good today.

Ireland Women open their winning account in the tri-series and will be hoping for a similar performance against West Indies Women. Pakistan Women meanwhile have a lot to think about after this bowling performance.
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony..
Player of the Match: Rebecca Stokell
Rebecca Stokell (Player of the Match): "(On her approach) I was just trying to build a partnership with Amy at the start. She was hitting it well. I struggled a bit, but it became easier as things went along.

(On the partnership with Amy) Amy and I were just keeping small targets in mind, and that was our approach.

(On batting at no. 3) Love the opportunity to bat up the order and I have really enjoyed it."
Muneeba Ali (Pakistan Women's Vice-captain): "(On batting) Batting efforts were good, but we could have done better in the last 5 overs and gone over 190.

(On the batting lineup) Saira came in and contributed, and a lot of new faces in our batting lineup. They are playing the kind of cricket we want, and I am happy about it.

(On Zafar's performance) She is out 6th bowling options, and she bowled well for her 3 overs."
Orla Prendergast (Ireland Women's Captain): "(On Stokell) Delighted, and I suppose she took care of the equation. She was going really well and took a lot of pressure off me.

(On the finish to the first innings) Huge momentum towards the end of our bowling innings, I believe the last 2 overs are always crucial. It gave us the confidence to chase this down.

(On the team) It's such an exciting time for this team, we have been consistent for the last 2-3 years, beating teams ranked above us and we want to keep doing that.

(On the next match) Momentum is the word, there is so much belief in that lineup now. We chased 180 with 5 balls to go, and that is a huge positive against a quality side like Pakistan. We hope to do the same against West Indies."
