Hayley Matthews (West Indies Women Captain and Player of the Match) -" (On the wicket) I felt that the wickt was a bit slow in the first half so I came early on. It was important to the first wicket early on and glad that I did it. (On Afy Fletcher) She is a great bowler and she came back really well to pick up four wickets and showed her class.
(On her innings) I wanted to take them on early on and played the ball on its merit. We had a lot of time at the crease. (On Realeanna Grimmond) Grimmond eased the pressure on me and it helped us. She is a free spirited girl and plays every ball on its merit. Its an advantage having young players like her.
It was good that we were able to take wickets regularly. We did give away a lot of boundary balls and we weren't at our absolute best. But it was a good wicket to bat on. Credit to Amy Hunter who was absolutely brilliant.
Every win will matter. After going down against SL earlier in the year, we will need to win big. Hopefully we can start from the scratch and win the second game as well. "
