Jason Behrendorff, Player of the Match: "Yeah it was a bit sticky, two paced. Nice for bowlers. Slightly back of a length was hard to score. Batters were struggling and you didn't have to do too much. We probably didn't go for slower balls earlier.

Wanindu Hasaranga (Kandy Falcons Captain): "Yeah, we have one more game left. We want to win it and finish on a high. No, you know, the covers were in, I mean, they were in since the morning. The covers came off just 30 minutes before the match. It would be difficult to bat on that wicket. We didn't bowl well enough. We needed more runs on the board."
Charith Asalanka (Jaffna Kings Captain): "Just smashing. Yeah, we were under pressure. It was almost like 12 and a half in an over when I walked in to bat, so just had to go from the word go. Personally I think when it comes to short games, it comes down to luck and toss does play a role.
