5:36 PM IST and Local | That would be it! The Jaffna Titans have won this game single-handedly as Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Tom Abell stitched a fine partnership in the chase to have outclassed the Hambantota Bangla Tigers by 8 wickets and with 11 balls to spare.
The Titans lost two early wickets while chasing 107 runs, but TKC stood a rock despite losing two of his partners. He got accompanied by Tom Abell in the third over of the chase, and they didn't look back from thereon.
The two Englishmen went behind the Hambantota bowlers Richard Gleeson and Tharindu Ratnayaka in particular. The duo shared a stand of 75* runs off just 34 balls. TKC ended the day at the office with an unbeaten 57, while Abell scored a 19-ball 33.
Earlier in the day, the Bangla Tigers were going as strong as they could, with Mohammad Shehzad and Dasun Shanaka in the middle. The scoreboard was reading 77/1, and then Traveen Mathew came in to pour his magic.
Mathew snapped wickets of Shehzad and Shanaka in his first over, before he took two more in his second over. And suddenly, the Bangla Tigers collapsed to 103/8 after the end of their 10 overs. Mathew took four, while Mohammad Amir, Pramod Madushan and Dwaine Pretorius took a wicket each.
