Sikandar Raza (Match Hero): "[Do you know what day this is after flying in from Sri Lanka?] To be honest, I don't know what day or date it is. It is nice to be here and it is nice to be signed by MI London and be a part of the Hundred. Most importantly, winning the game.
[His strategy after walking in] Close the eyes, swing the bat and see what happens. Honestly, the platform was set. Told Polly (Kieron Pollard) that this is the plan with the left and right; I can attack so that you can bat through, hopefully with the asking rate down. It is nice to get a few out off the middle and win the game. Even though Sam (Curran) started slow, we knew that both Sam and Nicky (Pooran) could finish the game. Mason Crane was bowling well; it would have been high-risk cricket to hit it to the leg side at that time, so I think they calculated it nicely. The partnerships between Nicky and Sam and then myself really helped.
[Favourite maximum of the night] Oh, no the first-ball six.
[About replacing Rashid Khan] When Rashid Khan comes back, he is world-class and deserves to be in the team. Hopefully, MI London can make the finals and he will be there. You have to respect the player of the decade. When he is here, he should be the first name on the sheet."

Sam Curran (MI London Captain): [on the contest] "They beat us last week so I guess we wanted revenge and we managed to get it. We were really good. The surface played really well. Pretty predictable because of the short side, long side. In the end we moved to 16 points so lots of positives.
[on Raza] It's handy and we knew Rash was leaving us. We kept Sikandar quiet for a long time. We told him a few weeks ago that we wanted him and I think that was a good planning for us. He's a big, experienced T20 cricketer and these cameos win you matches.

MI London with an exciting 4-wicket victory over London Spirit in the derby have moved up to the 2nd spot in the points table. London Spirit at the other hand have been knocked out of the tournament with just 4 points to their name!
MI London will next face the table toppers Trent Rockets on Saturday with Spirit to face Birmingham Phoenix this Sunday in a dead rubber.
