Bhuvneshwar Kumar (Lucknow Falcons Captain & POTM): "(On winning POTM) It feels really good. And especially when you get the Player of the Match award, but more importantly, the team wins, that gives you even more happiness. The way we started, we were down the points table, but in the last three matches, we've played back-to-back really well. It's been very good for us and has helped us move up the table.
(On his plan while bowling) Overall, it was a good wicket, but there was a little bit of swing. So, the plan was to keep the ball in the right areas. The very basic plan is to try and challenge the batters with the swing. Luckily, it worked. Generally, you don't get too much movement, maybe two or three balls, and I got a wicket off a flick as well. So, I think I can say it was a good day for me. But overall, it was good bowling—not just from me, but from the entire team. To bowl a team out for around 125 runs is a great effort from us.
(On deciding what variation to use) I don't think you can know that beforehand. It depends on how the wicket is playing, what the conditions are, the dimensions of the ground—everything matters. Sometimes, generally, the ball can play a little better under lights. So, the variations depend on all those factors. I think you have to make those decisions in the moment, and experience helps a lot with that.
(On his team performance) Absolutely. The way we bowled them out, naturally, you want to chase the target quickly. And the way the opening partnership went, especially with Himanshu, that's exactly what you need while chasing a low total. Sometimes, you think about playing safely for six overs and then attacking later, but that can create problems. I think we got the perfect start today, and I can't complain."
