Vipraj Nigam gets the most dependable bowler of the match
Madhav Kaushik gets awarded for the most stylish catch of the match
Madhav Kaushik (Noida Kings Captain): "(On what went wrong today?) I think we got a good start today. The top order had consolidated well, but in the middle we lost a few wickets, so we ended up around 15 to 20 runs short. But then again, I think we fought well with the ball too. Because of the dew, sometimes the ball doesn't grip, and then it doesn't come onto the bat properly either. Those are things you can't really control.

(On his own performance with the bat) I feel the ball is still coming nicely onto my bat. Even today, I got a good start, and I should have converted it into a bigger innings. So I'm feeling confident, and I think I'm just one innings away.

(About the improving areas in the team) I believe this is a team. We play collectively, we win collectively, and we lose collectively. So I don't think it makes sense to personally blame any one department. But then again, if we play as a good unit and find the right combination, I think things will follow.

(Positives from today's match) There are plenty of positives. The top order was doing well, Prashant struck the ball really well and played an extraordinary innings. Bobby came in and took two wickets, and the fielding was very good as well. So there are positives all around."
Shoaib Siddiqui gets the award for the fantastic fours of the match
Prashant Veer receives the award for the maximum 6s of the match
Bhuvneshwar Kumar (Lucknow Falcons Captain): "(Rain going in Lucknow Falcons' favour today? It was fortunate that the decision went in our favour. Otherwise, this is what always happens—sometimes things go a certain way and then people feel that we were tactically wrong. But thank God, the conditions were in our favour today.

(Happy with team's bowling) Absolutely. We were a little doubtful about the decision initially, before making it. But then we decided to bowl first, and the way the bowling went, I think all the bowlers proved us right, especially Abhinandan. But if you look at it, everyone bowled well. Navneet bowled the last over, but overall, I think it was a very good bowling effort.

(On Abhinandan Singh) He is definitely proving to be a match-winner. He is taking wickets for us and changing games. As far as helping him is concerned, I think I can share whatever I can and whatever experience I have. But the credit has to go to him for the way he is performing and working hard. Sometimes, no matter how much you explain things to someone, they don't necessarily work out.

But I think the credit goes to him for the way he has improved and adapted to things. Playing back-to-back matches is not easy, and generally, you see that the ball is also coming onto the bat. I think he's doing a great job for us.

(On Ajeet Verma) Absolutely. This is his first year, and when you come into your first year, you can be nervous at times. But looking at him, it hasn't seemed that way. Generally, if I talk about him, he is an opener, but we want to use him in the middle order. The way he bats against spinners is one of his plus points, and then there is his bowling.

When he came in and we picked him for the team, we didn't know that he bowled. But the way he started bowling in the nets, the coach and I decided that we could use him as a bowler. And the way he has performed after getting this platform, I think he's doing a great job."
Player of the Match: Ajeet Verma
Ajeet Verma (POTM): "(On his preferred batting position) I’m primarily an opener, but wherever the team needs me, I’m happy to bat there.

(About the partnership with Vipraj Nigam today) I was batting with Vipraj, and he was just telling me that we should take the match deep. We should keep batting, keep going, and take the game as deep as possible.

(On his preferred scoring areas) No, there’s no particular preferred area. I just try to play ball by ball.

(On his preparations for power-hitting) For power hitting, we practise with tennis-ball throwdowns.

(On his preference between batting & bowling) Obviously, batting."
The result was decided by the DLS method as the rain never stopped. Lucknow Falcons register a win by 12 runs (DLS method) over Noida Kings. This time, the rain went in Falcons' favour as they win their second game of the season. Meanwhile, Noida Kings have suffered their third defeat of the season after this game's result.
That's it from our live coverage of this game. This is Mohammad Anab signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Deepak Prakash and Abhishek Sharma.
