It began with a brutal onslaught from Amith Sathvik, VIDA Kovai Kings remained in the hunt by running through the iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans' top and most of the middle-order, but they just weren't able to break the 7th wicket partnership between S Mohamed Ali and M Mathivanan. The duo proceeded to raise 63, and see the team past the finish line!
Shahrukh Khan (VIDA Kovai Kings captain): " (What could they have done differently?) I think 20 runs more would have been better. But even after the start they had, the way we bowled in the middle overs is the positive to take out of this game.
(What will he tell the batters?) Nothing. We scored 230 in the last game. The odd collapse is bound to happen. But they are in good stead and will comeback stronger.
(Which bowler gave him the most confidence?) I don't want to be biased. Everybody did well. Some balls were close to execution, some were not. But in a game, all of that is bound to happen. We have to take it in our stride and keep moving.
(Message to the team after this loss?) Nothing. Just keep doing the same thing again and again."

Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore (iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans captain): "(Thoughts on wickets they took towards the end of the first innings) I think to be honest, we didn't bowl our best when we started. Credit to everyone for bringing the game back, we pulled the score very well. There was enough assistance off the pitch, we gave 20 runs extra on this pitch.
(On the ploy at the death overs) Nattu (Natarajan) is someone who's very humble for someone who has done all those performances in the past. Having someone like that in the team is very beneficial to everyone, we are all able to learn through him. Whenever the team needs him he is able to step up and it's a big positive for us.
(On whether the middle-order slump allowed to test their batting depth) Very happy that we got the result. Amith (Sathvik) batted beautifully, Mohamed Ali and Mathivanan showed up really well. Really disappointed with the way we batted, I think we played with a lot of overconfidence, little bit of ego in our batting, it is not helping anyone. We have to look ourselves in the mirror and be very honest with ourselves, improve in this game."

These are the games where the character of individuals are tested, and that turns out to be the case. The Tamizhans, thanks to Mathivanan and Mohamed Ali, come out winners eventually. The VIDA Kovai Kings remain at the bottom-half of the table - early days, but they need to get back to winning ways.
