Full and quick, at the block hole region and the batter inside edges it behind the keeper for a single.

Full and wide, the batter slaps across the line, straight into the hands of the fielder at cover point. Kapp makes no mistake to quickly bring his hand underneath the ball and take the grab comfortably. The last feather falls.

And with that, Birmingham Phoenix fail to chase the minuscule total and fall short by 20 runs. With this victory, Oval Invincilbes make their way into the finals of the inaugural edition of The Hundred and they will face Southern Brave Women.

Earlier in the day, the Invincibles put up a decent total of 114 on the board. A late flourish in that set but the innings throughout was more of ones and twos. The innings was well set up by Kapp and Capsey after three early wickets. Then there was a slew of wickets but Grace Gibbs ended well with an excellent cameo of 12 from 6 to have something on the board for their bowler’s to defend.

The Phoenix started off the chase on the wrong foot and lost the early wickets of Katie Mack and Evelyn Jones. Amy Jones and Erin Burns pulled off a brilliant partnership and took the game within touching distance. Both the set batters departed within the space of two sets and the game was back in balance. Wickets continue to tumble and the Phoenix lost another 6 wickets for 12 runs and they were suddenly 94 all out. The pressure of the run chase got onto the Phoenix and they fail miserably in the run chase.

Tash Farrant is the Hero of the Match for her brilliant spell of 4/10.
Tash Farrant " It means the world. We knew we didn't get enough runs but with our bowling attack we were really confident and so proud of the team. It was an unbelievable effort. The captain said, 'Don't leave anything out on the pitch, give 100%' We've been bowling well all tournament so we knew we could defend that total and luckily it paid off. I just threw my body at it [the catch at mid-off to dismiss Amy Jones]. I knew that we needed something special because they were building a really nice partnership and obviously Amy Jones is a gun batter. So it needed something special and I just sort of held it. I don't really know what happened to be honest. I think we pride ourselves with our fielding. We weren't really happy with how we fielded last game. So we wanted to put that right"

So that's goodbye from me, Anurag, and my partner Arijit Kundu from the comm box. Do join us tomorrow for The Hundred Men and Women's final in the evening and the second Test between West Indies and Pakistan. Good night and take care!!
