BOWLED'EM! Two wickets in the final over for Briggs! Fuller and on the stumps. Helm backs away and swings at it but fails to get any wood on it. The ball goes on to rattle the stumps.

SUS won by 18 runs
12:32 AM IST, 8:02 PM Local Time: Sussex break their four-match losing streak and wins this high-scoring contest by 18 runs. Middlesex were in a good position in the first half of the innings, but failed to carry the momentum into the second half of the innings.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Sussex posted an imposing 213/3 in their 20 overs. Despite slipping to 44/2 inside the Powerplay after the dismissals of Harrison Ward (29) and George Thomas (2), the visitors recovered brilliantly through Daniel Hughes and Jack Leaning. The duo stitched together a match-defining 169-run partnership for the third wicket, with Hughes smashing an unbeaten 108 off 52 balls and Leaning contributing a well-made 65 off 48. For Middlesex, Naavya Sharma was the standout bowler with 2/34, while Noah Cornwell picked up the other wicket.

Chasing a daunting 214, Middlesex got off to a flying start, racing to 82/1 in the Powerplay. Max Holden led the charge with a blistering 52 off just 20 balls, while Matthew Boyle contributed 34, putting the hosts in a strong position. However, Sussex fought back brilliantly through timely wickets, reducing Middlesex from 101/3 to 168/6 despite Leus du Plooy's fighting 37.

The required rate continued to climb as the visitors tightened their grip in the death overs. Luke Hollman chipped in with 22, but Middlesex kept losing wickets at regular intervals and eventually finished on 195/9, falling 18 runs short of the target. Tymal Mills and Danny Briggs starred with the ball, claiming 3 wickets each, while Jack Carson, Jack Leaning, and Tom Price chipped in with a wicket apiece to complete a clinical bowling performance.
That's all from this contest, folks! For now, it's me, Deepak Prakash, signing off from this space along with Chandan Kumar Singh. CHEERS!
