Ruturaj Gaikwad (Chennai Super Kings Captain): [on Mukesh Choudhary dealing with his tough situation] "Pretty tough on him. I would definitely like to dedicate this win to him. Hats off to him coming in from that sad situation. It takes a lot of effort mentally. He came back for the team, came back for the franchise. He knew that we needed him. All glory to him. Even we spoke before going in to the field that we want to win this game for him and I'm glad that everyone wanted to be there for him.

[on winning without Khaleel & Mhatre] I was still 50-50 at the toss. My gut feeling was saying maybe we should bat first. It was a bit green but at the same time I felt it was a bit dry as well. You have to assess in the first couple of overs. Me and Sanju said that it is not coming on nicely, so anywhere around 200-210 will be a really good score. Akeal coming in with the ball helps a lot. Everyone just chipped in really well. Those 20s from Brevis and Kartik kept the momentum going and Sanju again played a magnificent knock and took us home again. He's been in fantastic touch. Our bowling was improving since the 1st and 2nd games. We have been trying to stay calm, do the basic things right and it is starting to click.

[on the spinners being the trump card or having an allround bowling attack] We are kind of heading in a direction where we are trying to cover all bases. As you said Khaleel wasn't available. Mukesh to start that first over and contain, that set up the momentum. To bowl 3 overs in the powerplay to the likes of Surya and Tilak, I think he started really well. Anshul is always doing well. Jamie - whenever the wicket has some pace and bounce - him and Gurjapneet are the ones who can take wickets for us in the middle as well. We always have Noor and it's a blessing to have Akeal. Everyone is getting in their roles, everyone is calm and composed and know what to do.

[on the upcoming games] We start from zero. Start from assessing the pitch, how it is. We have got a day game as well. Just couple of days away. We enjoy this win, keep it aside and make sure we are ready for the next one."

Sanju Samson (POTM): "[On his 2nd IPL ton for CSK] It feels great to score a century against MI at Wankhede. Definitely a special moment for the team and me. I have kept things very simple, I am just look at the conditions. Today, it wasn't a normal Wankhede wicket, the ball was swinging around and holding a bit. I think you need to assess what the team demands. That gives you clarity. Right after the powerplay, I kind of knew what type of wicket this is. We kept losing wickets and it was important for us to have a set batter down till the end. So that's what I tried and that's what happened today.

[On understanding how deep he needs to bat] As I told you, the game tells you what to do. You don't have to come with a preconceived mindset. From my experience, I think the team comes first. The responsibility the team has shown on me, it is my responsibility to understand what the team wants. If we hadn't lost too many wickets, I would have gone a bit harder.

[On taking momentum from this game] It is a very young team but the character the boys have shown even after 3 losses, is commendable. We know every game is important, every team comes with the great intensity, we need to be ready.

[On seeing so much yellow in the stands] I think I am wearing yellow for the first time. I think I have never seen so much yellow at Wankhede, it is a pleasure to play for this franchise."
A complete annihilation from the Chennai Super Kings here at the Wankhede Stadium! They’ve dismantled their arch-rivals in emphatic fashion. This goes down as Mumbai Indians’ heaviest defeat in IPL history, and their fifth loss of the season — slipping to 8th on the table. Meanwhile, CSK surge up to 5th with a dominant performance.

Up next, we head to Bengaluru where RCB take on GT — promises to be an absolute cracker! For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ajay Pal Singh and Ninaad Dixit who, along with scorers/analysts Paras Yadav and Manish Bishnoi & statistician Aman brought all the updates of this clash.
