Namibia won by 6 wickets

David Wiese with his long levers found the boundaries more
often as he was striking close to 200. He brought up his fifty off just 29
balls to bring the required run-rate under control. The 93 run stand was broken
when Erasmus edged a drive but it was a little late for the Dutch side as the Namibian
side required only 20 runs from 20 balls. David Wiese remained unbeaten on 66 off 40 balls to take his side across the line with one over to spare.
Earlier in the day, it was Namibia skipper Gerhard Erasmus
who won the toss and opted to field first. The bowlers struggled a bit upfront
as the Netherlands openers got off to a good start. They did manage to pick two
wickets inside the first 10 overs but Max O’Dowd stood tall against the
Namibian bowlers. He was well supported by Colin Ackermann from the other end
as the opener brought up a fantastic half-century. He played some brilliant
strokes as his innings help the Dutch side post 164 on the board. Jan Frylinck for
Namibia picked up two wickets with David Wiese finishing with a wicket. The total wasn't enough as Namibia chased down the total in a thriller of a contest.
