SCO won by 19 runs
8:46 PM IST, 5:16 PM Local Time: A strong comeback from Scotland in the second half of the chase saw them win by 19 runs, sealing the series with a game to spare. Namibia bottled the chase from a commanding position.

Earlier, Scotland posted 157/8 in their 20 overs after being put in to bat in the second T20I at Windhoek. They lost early wickets, including a golden duck for Finlay McCreath, and were reduced to 50/3 by the end of the powerplay.

Brandon McMullen (27) and Owen Gould (24) tried to stabilize the innings, but wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Jack Jarvis provided a late boost with an unbeaten 32 off 18 balls, helping Scotland reach a competitive total.

For Namibia, Jack Brassell was the standout performer with 3/26, while Jan Balt and Ruben Trumpelmann picked up two wickets each.

In reply, Namibia fell short in the chase, finishing at 138/7 in 20 overs. After a decent start in the powerplay with 48 runs, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals, which dented their momentum.
Louren Steenkamp (25) provided early impetus, while skipper Gerhard Erasmus fought hard with a top score of 47. However, a lack of substantial partnerships in the middle overs hurt the chase, as wickets continued to tumble at crucial moments.

For Scotland, Mackenzie Jones was the standout performer with an impressive 4-wicket haul, well supported by Oliver Davidson, who was economical and picked up a wicket. The bowlers collectively kept things tight and ensured Namibia never got close to the target.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation......
Player of the Match: Mackenzie Jones
Mackenzie Jones (POTM): "[Feelings?] Yeah, we’ve got a very strong squad, so it’s not easy to get in. I’m really happy that I made the most of my opportunity when it came.

[On bowling hard length] Yeah, definitely. I think using my height is a key strength of mine, and the coach has encouraged me to focus on my bowling and do my job. I’m really glad it worked out well today."
Gerhard Erasmus (Namibia Captain): [on losing steam at the backend] "We did well in the bowling department and fielded better than the last few games but couldn't close out with the ball.

[on tomorrow's game] Looking to put the strongest side as possible tomorrow. Hopefully some of the guys can take their roles up."
Richie Berrington (Scotland Captain): "[Feeling good?] Yeah, it feels good to follow up the previous performance with another win. I’m really pleased with how some of the younger players stepped up and contributed to getting us over the line in what turned out to be a close game. That’s the benefit of series like this—you can rotate players and give opportunities, and someone like Mackenzie Jones made the most of it with a great performance.

Yeah, absolutely. It’s great to see the depth in our squad. Even Jack Jarvis’ knock in the first innings was crucial in getting us to a total we could defend. And then, of course, Mackenzie Jones stepping up at key moments and picking up important wickets made a big difference."
That’s all from this contest, folks! Scotland win the second T20I by 19 runs to clinch the series with a game to spare. Thank you for staying with us throughout the game. For now, it’s me, Deepak Prakash, signing off on behalf of my colleagues Ninaad Dixit, Manan Mehta, and Asraj Khan. CHEERS!
